    To be fair, the club are also buying him all of the players he wants this season- including a fair few lads who look like unbelievable signings. Better to shift on those who don’t want to be here and would go for nothing in 12 months time anyway whilst bringing in hungry lads who want to fight for success.

    All I can say, is the real test of the new owners will be the new signings & keeping DS. I feel if DS signs up for longer we'll know if he's happy. I'm positive this can be achieved. We are still in the midst of the changing of the guards, making it hard to judge as yet & I agree with certain frustrations, particularly about the suggested fee for Ethan, who is worth double that, but if contracts had been not drawn up so well...

    We are the plaything of owners with vast wealth who could relegation-proof us by throwing a bit of chump change into the coffers.

    Chuck a bit more in, pay better wages and we could even have a tilt at promotion or at the very least become an established Championship side

    Instead they seem content to pay peanuts, sell star assets on the cheap and have us hover between lower end Championship/top end Lge 1.

    Plus ça change.

    I can't disagree JP. There are signs that things, particularly regarding contracts, are improving so there are some positives to be taken unfortunately due to past mistakes and the nature of modern football there are still times when we have to suffer a kick in the nuts.

    Not sure why some on here call themselves supporters. There is a difference between being a little critical on the team or a performance than to slate them to the hilt.

    Get behind the club ffs and trust in what they are doing..
