Personally, I like Moore and hope he stays. Also, I believe the lad can do a decent job for us in the Championship, offering us something different to any other forward whether they're already at the club, or rumoured to be signing.
As we're following a business model, the powers that be must surely have it in mind that Moore's value is probably at its peak right now. If he does well this season, a year from now he'll only have a year left on his contract so we probably won't get top dollar for him. Perform like he did last time in the Championship, and bids are likely to be lower than they at the minute.
I think Moore has improved from the 2017/18 season, appears to have more self belief, his team mates are also playing with a great deal more confidence and, most importantly, is playing under a far better Head Coach now.
I think that you may well be right. As I pointed out in another post, I don't particularly want Kieffer to be sold at all. But I also think that he definitely has his price, which someone may be willing to meet.
All players have got their price, no matter who they are. Which is why Cristiano Ronaldo was sold last Summer by Real Madrid & Neymar left Barcelona the previous year. I'm simply not prepared to write Moore off as a Championship footballer based on half a season, playing in a poor team devoid of confidence and playing under a much poorer coach than we presently have. If Kieffer leaves, I'll be sad to see him go, would wish him all the best for the future and never forget the huge contribution he made to one of the best ever seasons in the club's long history.
I'm the man who was absolutely sure Sam Winnall wouldn't be able to make the step up from League 1, so I'm clearly a fountain of footballing knowledge!
