The parking getting out of the ponty end car park is absolutely ridiculous we used to park in the east stand but due to the new fans doo dar we cannot park there anymore It took us more than a hours to get out today I think that is outrageous Barnsley fc need to sort it out it’s ridiculous
It's not good at best of times. Without relocating I can't see how it can be improved either, because there's nowhere for cars to go as pontefract road is snarled up with a mixture of football and shopping traffic. Maybe a park and ride might be a summat to consider?
I parked in there today and was out in 10 mins. That said I know that if you don’t time it bang on you could have a situation like yours today. I think the main issue is lack of segregation between vehicles and pedestrians (Not sure how this can be fixed). But when you’re trying to get out you’ve got people walking from all directions, this holds things up for me. Also it might be worth closing the road for 20 mins after kick off and strictly enforcing the left turn only once you leave the car park. With proper traffic management it should run smoothly.
Not sure how you managed that mate because the gates were closed for almost half an hour after the game before getting to join the traffic jams around the streets. Took 50 odd minutes to get to morrisons on the way home. Would not consider using the parking again. I normally walk in from town but didn't today as my young lads were with me and it was hammering it down
Youngen needed toilet on around 84 minutes, so went straight to car from there. Exited the car park at the exit where the burger van is with minimal problems. The other gates were closed at this time mind.
