It's a quiet Sunday night and my 71st Birthday today and I got round to thinking about tunes that I would like played at my funeral. I'm ok at the moment but who knows what's around the corner. So, I thought I'd have "Everywhere" by Fleetwood Mac as my inconsolable friends arrived, followed by Tom Petty "Learning to fly" somewhere in the middle as a reflective song (I was in the RAF for for 35 years and Tom Petty's song is a bit more uplifting than the RAF March). And then as the curtains close and the guests depart it's got to be The Traveling Wilberys "End of the Line". Job done.
Happy Birthday young man I’d go for a Springsteen song obviously, either I’m going down or I’m on fire
For me it would be " You've got a friend" ( James Taylor), "Sunshine on Leith" ( the Proclaimers) and "Ashokan Farewell " ( Jay Ungar and the Molly Mason Family Band.)
Many happy returns Albert. Think positive and list the music you want played at your 90 th birthday party. Hope you have many more happy years mate.
Got mine listed too for the crem Burning Love Elvis, Spirit In The Sky Norman Greenbaum and Beyond The Rainbows End Daniel O’Donnell
