My 57th. Dad took me as a 3 year old I've been going ever since. There's something special about being a Barnsley fan that sets us apart from anyone else. I'm sure other fans will say the same but I think our heritage as a community sets us apart. I am so proud to be a red and proud to be part of this forum. For all our differences there's no folk as genuine as us reds.
23rd season. Approx 12-15 with a season ticket. There was a period when we were so **** my dad refused to pay for me so couldn’t go. I’m taking Paul Gibbs sort of ****
54th for me too. They need to crack on with this assault on Europe cos I don't want to be watching us play Real Madrid from a bath chair!
Wow! there’s some real masochists on here....about 40 for me but not all as season ticket holder, that includes relying on my dads money
50 yrs next season....will celebrate with 2nd season back in championship and big push for Prem.......
It will be my forty third season. Was only a casual user before 1978 but got hooked when Clarkie took over, just in time for the glory years of Big Norm and Ronnie. Season ticket holder since premiership
Christ. The average age of the fan base on this Board is around 83! I think I can safely say we’re not a representative sample of Reds fans. My memories of watching the team in my early years are the dominance of youth. “ back to school on a Monday” was a common chant. And now.......we’re all going to die together (gulp). Will there be enough time to get all our names up on the end of season death list. As i’ve Said for years we need a bigger scoreboard. This is the the 49th year since I first went and 43rd as a regular. “Iley out.”
