52nd season for me, old mate, 51st as a season ticket holder (my late Father bought me my first for the 1969/70 campaign). In fact, next Saturday will be the 51st anniversary of my first game, 10th August 1968. We lost 3-2 at home to Barrow, Johnny Evans & Allen Bradbury scored for us.

I'm sure to have been to that game Kev.
Losing to Barrow eh, I reckon our kids could beat Barrow these days

Can you recall how much a ST was then?

Trudging home afterwards, I couldn't believe people were walking around Barnsley doing their shopping and such like, not realising it was the end of the world as far as I was concerned!:D

My late Father always bough me my season ticket as a birthday present in those days. We sat in the Pontefract End Wing Stand (as was) in those days. Just long, wooden benches, with slats to signify which was your own specific 'seat'. When he passed away in 1999, my brother-in-law had the task of going through his paperwork left in various drawers. We came across my junior season ticket for the 1974/75 campaign. It cost the grand total of £5.:D

I can remember the players from both sides wearing black armbands because of the Aberfan disaster on my first game, so 1966:oops:

53rd, though my league and cup debut was the season before (66/67), so maybe I can claim 54.

When I became hooked on a club that had narrowly avoided having to apply for re-election to the Football League, never did I imagine winning promotions, playing in the Premier League, winning finals at the Millennium Stadium and Oakwell South (we'll gloss over the defeats at Oakwell South), going unbeaten at home for a full season - twice (67/68 and 18/19) and beating some of the country's "elite" clubs.

Thinking the same thing re average age!

Club should consider giving a discount of 5% ??? on the cost of a season ticket for every decade 'served'

Season 44. I remember my Dad checking my pockets for Bog Roll/Paper before we played Newport County. Was throwing it a thing then? Not sure why he would have even thought that - I was only five!

Been a ST for about 24 I think (the season prior to promotion to the big un)

    Do I get a prize :) ?

43 for me. Started as a 3yr old in '76 and stood/sat in every part of the ground. Loved sitting on top of the St.John Ambulance dug-out as a young 'un and before the East Stand was built I took up residence behind the home dug-out on the terrace. I've made many great memories and friends along the way.
