Vital. So many times we’ve had big crowds or been on Sky in the past and been poor - meaning the extra folk don’t bother coming again for a bit. Like I say, be great to beat 15k every Saturday at home.
The size of the home following to say we were only playing Fulham shows how vital it is to get the north side of the west stand dealt with to cope with demand for the more local fixtures.
I think we could average 15k this season, even with the ground as it is. We will then surely be at the point of addressing getting some issues regarding opening the rest of the West Stand. A safe standing lower West Stand, with cheaper prices & some sort of rebuild of the old West Stand, same dimensions, without the pillars & crap seats. Capacity may go down a bit, but demand may rise, if it were done tastefully "retro". Services for the disabled in there too.
Safe Standing is a waste of money to me - it’d cost a lot to do it and then you’re offering them for a cheaper price! Money can be better spent elsewhere surely. And of course we don’t own Oakwell yet.
Why offer them cheaper? The people who want to stand don't want it because it's cheaper, but because they want to stand. So give them the option without a price difference to the rest of that stand.
