Can’t compare ours to Accy. We’re selling different beer served out of a custom built van and everything has to be put up and removed every match day. It’s a totally different set up

If we’d have ran out of beer I’d have been proper shocked, and probably in a coma right now.

We had plenty of beer and enough left to do it again (on a Tuesday night!)

Ha. Me too. Third shower of the day. Second was a rather unfortunate Indy IPA shower as @lokothetyke changed kegs

Without moaning? You weren't at the gate.

Anyway, he turned a good 50 or so away with the same message.

No worries. We got a pint in the ground - at 2.45 pm and bolted it down in time for the feast.

Organisers clearly lacking 'marketing speak' :):) You should use the phrase 'victims of our own success';)

Seriously great start and it is a learning curve as it is almost impossible with such a new venture to get it 100% right. I am sure, when the actual demand exceeded that anticipated by over 300% that lesson have be learned and it far better than overestimating it and having a flop on your hands. Nice if you could get club to cough up for a glass washer and a supply of re-useable glasses.
Hats off to those real fans who have put in such an effort and made it happen.

Already talking this morning about things we can bring in, change, adapt to, etc. for the next game.

I worked it out last night that we poured a beer every 15 seconds. Challenge being we were setup for a 300 capacity and we peaked closer to 800 with over 1,100 coming through over the course of the whole session. Just said on Twitter if you know what you’re setting up for you do things differently.

Also had our lager tap blow up on us at 12:30pm which didn’t help. All fixed for next time though. And then it’ll be something else ......

What’s plans for winter when it’s rainy and cold? Bigger marquees and heaters etc?

Something along those lines. Won’t be much bigger on the marquee front though. Remember we’ve been planning on a 300 capacity FanZone

It’s only the morning after Day One. Going bigger has so many variables considering the bar element is run by volunteers, and also the difference in infrastructure as well.

There’s definitely an appetite for it but we’ve got to get the current setup running smoothly first.

I went yesterday and thought you all did a great job, really enjoyed it and would def go regularly, apart from what I hope will not be seen as a criticism below, just an observation.

Never went to redfearns as with capacity only being 150 I would never have got in, so drunk in the east dene or mount. If I go for a drink first I like to get to the pub in time to have just 2, as im not fussed for more than that and my brother drives anyway, I would never bother rocking up as early as 1pm.

My only concern is if the 300 capacity is reverted to as a response to yesterday rather than, for example, 2 or 3 bottle bars instead of 1 (that ran out of bottles at around 1.30 - I got the last 3!) it will put me off going again and I’ll just revert to go the pub as I wouldn’t want to walk all way to the ground to then be turned away.

I’m sure theres more than me that just want an hour before the game and a couple as opposed to 2 hours and 3 or 4.

Great start though and hopefully goes from strength to strength.

If it continues to be a success especially through the winter months will the club be looking at a more permanent structure?

Hasn’t been discussed. But opens up a lot of licensing challenges amongst a million and one other things.

Is that licensing challenges with BMBC? Will they only allow a licence for a temporary structure?
