Looks to be a very big pitch. It's around five yards longer and one yard wider than Oakwell I believe. Plenty of room for our lads to press. Derby winning 2-1 and look to be defending OK at the moment, although Town were ramping up the pressure.
I recall first thing Lee Johnson did when he was appointed at Bristol City, was to shorten/narrow the Ashton Gate pitch, so you could well be right CT. It certainly denies the more skilful players that added space to get past their opponents. Saturday's performance against Fulham was really impressive. You would hope that as the season progresses, the players benefit from an increase in their fitness/stamina levels so that they are able to consistently press the opposition for sustained periods. Be very interesting to see how many teams attempt to neutralise our style of play by knocking long balls over the top for their forwards to run onto.
