Good luck to the lad. I'm sure when he's playing in the Champions League the club will be happy. I hope they've kept an interest in his future.
I wasn't having a dig I was speaking in terms of finance. It's good that our academy players are being sold to teams that have competed at Champions League level. However, doesn't it beg the question why can't we see that said player is at that level? Doesn't it seem a strange one?
Maybe? I heard that it took him an age to deliberate over his last contract such is his confidence in his ability.
I mean, i may be biased, but I'd suggest that the Israel Premier League is probably a lower standard than the Championship, regardless if the winner of it gets a route to a preliminary round in the Champions League.
I suppose so regarding the level of the division. However, at least he'll get a crack of playing some of the biggest teams in Europe and winning trophies. It's a bit like Hedges going to Aberdeen and Mallan to Hibernian. At least they will both see some European football and play in a few cup finals, maybe even nicking a few medals.
