I would have thought there would have been an announcement by now.Heard it was something to do with roadworks near away end.Probably health and safety gone mad or Wednesday worried lepping lane stand will collapse if more than 2000 in.
Agree can't see anything now, its shocking form from Wednesday not to at least let us know one way or the other.
Ive got a feeling a decision is going to be made with pay on the day only at an extra cost. Typical robbing gets.
They are probably going to announce no more tickets at the last minute to give people less time to purchase in home areas.
They've cost Wednesday hundereds of thousands. Glad its happened to their club mind. But South Yorkshire Police are an embarrassment when it comes to football matters.
One of the worst cases of lack of communication to fans I’ve ever known. Regardless of whose to blame.
I just find the whole situation bizarre to be honest. I can't get my head around why there'll only be 2000 fans in the away end when the standard maximum allocation for away sides over the last two years has been 4500. The Upper tier is restricted to 3500 and the lower to 1000 (I believe, could be wrong). Anyone who could sell em last season got them, including Aston Villa at 3pm and Leeds on a Friday night. We informed Wednesday that we wanted the next allocation in loads of time to ensure tickets could be dispatched to Oakwell, bought and collected. So it isn't a last minute thing where we're suddenly threatening to overwhelm agreed resources as the extra allocation was seemingly always there to be asked for. Whether it's SYP or Sheffield Wednesday it's really poor and a real shame. The most frustrating part for me though is the lack of communication. Does it really take three working days to decide whether we can have more tickets? It seems obvious we aren't getting any, so just say so. To leave everyone hoping is totally out of order. BFC are blameless of course, they have suggested their own frustration in yesterdays statement, but for SWFC or SYP to just leave it all week with the match this Saturday is so poor.
Apologies on my part. Did not realise Barnsley made a statement yesterday. I was aware to a degree but did not pick up on the official statement on the clubs website. Wednesday should be ashamed. And given a reason for the holdup.
Only thing I can fault in all this situation regarding our club is if they decide to give Wednesday more than 2000 tickets for the reverse fixture. Reinvesting back into tho club from the Moore transfer would be best spent giving them 1k and leave the rest of the away end empty. Oh id love that.
I've got my tkts for north stand, and it was a lot harder, post codes, address, security checks, do ya homework.
How there still hasn't been a Statement from that club is ridiculous. I mean they've even stopped selling in the North stand but not even told their own lot. They really are run by a bunch of incompetent fools.
