Watch the latest videos from Barnsley on iFollow - https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/ifollow/. After listening interview he goes back to experience and signing player's with no championship experience, make you wonder if he actually got any players that he wanted, and playing the square ball in match, says they learn not 2 do it in game cost it's not our style of place, that comes with experience, wonder if we could get a loan with experience soon?.
Get kenny fit bit more structure in front of defence move in from there still feeling optimistic for season ahead
Only hope on that front would be a free agent. I have wondered whether Stendel is in the know about someone on the continent who would fit the bill. Wishful thinking on my part I guess
I presume he might have asked for an experienced player or two but was told no by the board cos it doesn't fulfil the plan. How does he react if this is the case?
That's the worry, he not afraid to speak to press about needing experienced players surely the board are not going with stendels preference that can only go on until he gets fed up, like previous message only free agents now? Not many about
The big worry is weve heard all this before wasn't Mr Heckingbottom saying exactly the same thing the summer before he left for the scumbags. We appear locked into the plan and are unwilling to tweek it.
The lad from Leicester forgot his name now and I know he is 32 but years of experience he would be a good signing for 12mths.By the way he is a defender.
Sometimes, plans need to be adjusted this being 1 of them. I like stendal just hope board shares faith and listens we need him and experience then we onto a winner with the talent we got
this board is as it should be in terms of us lot sharing our opinions on the club and all that goes with it. However the speculation about DS and what he might feel about the new signings needs to be put into perspective. none of us know for sure but I would be very surprised if he didn't have any say on who we have recruited. and for all we know we might have tried to get a couple of more experienced players and failed. But.......Daniel knows the score. He knows what he signed up to and rather than getting despondent about him "moaning", about not having guys with champ experience, etc, I think he's relishing the challenge. having been yesterday and just watched his interview, it seems to me like he's jyst being realistic. when he says we didn't win the league last week and we didn't lose it this week....clearly he's right!! A statement of the bleeding obvious i know but he's saying what we should all do.....which is put things in perspective. Of course he has said that the team have no champ experience, but he's also said that this group will get better and that he has the confidence in them to get better. yesterday we lacked incision in the final third. we were too slow in our build up play and Daniel was actually out thought by their manager as they watched us play east to west and west to east with no impact. So, that being the case, both Daniel and the players know what to do to put it right. he's going cor power and pace this season and credit to him for his vision and clarity of objective. (i do agree with other comment on here however that we need a plan B) so the moral of this post is....stay patient. one swallow etc. Daniel appears to like a challenge. we know he has one this season. I for one am v happy that with his team, we have the right guys for the job. I'm very optimistic as this group seem committed and "together". The rollercoaster ride is going to be exciting and win or lose what we all know is that under Daniel and his team well get nothing less than 100%. cmaaaaaaan!! Perspective. Patience. Power. Pace.
I think head an tail of it is the owners have seen a business model to make money buy buying young players to sell on often for huge profits in 12-24 months. The club isn’t losing money so its better than the stock market etc. Yet to hear about any ambitions of getting the club i to the premier league or beyond. Just to make it a good place to come and be self sufficient while they make money off the back of it.
When we turned over the promotion favourites last weekend I didn't see much nor hear much about a need for experience. We lose a game and deservedly so because the opponent was better on the day and I logon here to see cries for experience. I have watched the interview in question and it seems Mr Stendel is using the lack of experience in his squad as one of a number of excuses for us getting well beaten yesterday. I would suggest he looks at his own tactics yesterday where he pretty much hung us out to dry with the lack of press and the inability to use the ball positively when in possession. The Wednesday manager said his team out-Barnsley'd Barnsley. Correct. Not sure us having four or five 30-somethings in the team yesterday would have negated Daniel's tactics of trying to pass our way out of every situation which actually caused our downfall. We could and maybe should have lost by a much greater margin and still had a few very good chances. I don't see a need for experience I see a need to rein in the crazy tactics away from home. Reminded me of the later Keith Hill tenure some of our football yesterday. Nonsense football around our own third inviting mistakes.
