David Hirst, John Beresford, Mark Robinson Might be a shorter list of those we've sold who have vanished from the game. Or wonder how many we've released (through our choice) that have progressed more once they left us.
One of the famous quotes that were on the stands at white hart lane were attributed to Danny Blancheflower , He was one of their greats . Tommy Taylor was one of England’s all time greats.
Jacob Butterfield. Other than a brief loan spell at his hometown club last season he’s played exclusively in the second tier going for millions. Martin Cranie also. Luke Steele.
Martin Cranie must go down in the luckiest footballers category. Always seems to get released and land on his feet.
Because he is a steady away defender not outstanding but definite solid defender you can rely on . The type of experience we could have done with in the January window
Stones, for obvious reasons Hourihane, for obvious reasons Holgate, played plenty of times for Everton & spent time on loan & played regularly at a side chasing promotion in West Brom last season. Even if he doesn’t make the grade at Everton he’ll have no shortage of offers from bigger championship clubs than ourselves & maybe even premier league interest. Mawson, struggled at Fulham but had a cracking season at Swansea in the prem even though they were relegated. Sure he’ll have a good championship / bottom end prem career Scowen pretty much on the same level but earning more. Good reliable & versatile championship player. Going back a few years but Cranie’s done pretty well with promotions at Huddersfield & Sheff Utd & played a fair bit for top half Middlesbrough. Steele did well in Greece but barely played since coming back to England. Butterfield had a good spell at Huddersfield but really struggled at Derby & Wednesday. The rest have been a bit of a disaster really. Winnall, Roberts, Bree & Watkins have barely played albeit they’ll be a lot richer
I wouldn't say Josh Scowen... He's basically playing the same level as we are. You could argue Mawson is playing the same level now, but in theory he's been in the premier league already.
