    Him and Gary Jones in central midfield. Those were the days with Kevin Donovan and Barnard on the wings. Gibbs and Mulligan at full back. Central defence of Chris Morgan and Grandad Chettle. Richard Naylor and Tony Bedeau up front. What could possibly go wrong?

    Nice interview from him though. I didn't realise he was as young as that when he played for us, and a shame he had to pack in at just 30.

    I'm guessing one 'll be Mike Sheron. Although him and Dyer linked up well and it was only when we brought in Richard Naylor and dropped Sheron we stopped scoring goals and picking results up.

    Anyone on here go to Stockport County away.
    We lost 4 1 our side was gutless including him.
    Glyn Hurst who i know from when he lived in Barnsley scored 2.
    I voiced my anger towards Lumsden who had been anonymous he walked over and stuck 2 fingers up.
    Worked his socks off when on loan .
    After signing well I will stay silent on my comments.

    Aye he froze Dean Gorre out until easter then we won back to back matches against Preston and Watford but it was too late.

    Didn't Dean Gore play for Ajax prior to Huddersfield .
    Was very useful when Parkin felt like playing him.
    If you ever get chance to speak to the Beast ask him about Steve Parkin .
    Another local lad bombed out
    Who did ok for a fat lad from tarn.
    His words not mine .
    Steve Parkin , an era to be forgot

    Yes Bazza. He looked good playing for Huddersfield. Always remember 98/99 season when Huddersfield were up there watching goals on sunday thinking he was a player. I was really excited when we signed him thinking he was going to replace Hignett but we hardly saw him during that first season.

    Think that would be down to Mr Parkin.
    What a legend (leg end)
    Remember being 4 down on 60 minutes at home ,(cant remember team)I was so annoyed I walked from top tier round to the dug out.
    Steve I shouted he looked round and i asked him what plan b was .He just shrugged his shoulders. Honesty for you.
    Remember Bruce telling me to get off home.
    Think that was great advice in hindsight.

    Jesus going back some time with him. We scored plenty of goals in 01 02 but defensively chronic. Sheron got pulled down a lot but as second striker he was decent. On paper that team is better than now. Just shows experience and money ain’t everything.

    Yet again we had super mitch ward, o Callaghan etc
