I dont think you can knock stendal at all his hands have been tied well and truly behind his back with what hes been asked to work with. Take possibly the 4 best players out of any team and watch them struggle. You are supposed to build on promotions not get your shoelaces tied together......
That 0-6 against Charlton is probably one of my worst memories as a fan. It basically sealed our relegation, we had 2 men sent off, and I had a go at the linesman for flagging to get Kennedy sent off and he put his thumb up behind his back at me. Looking back I deserved it cos I had lost it with him. As for the original post? Very poor post.
I stand corrected. They all blurred into one in that era of Wiseman and Kennedy. Either way, it was *****! Edit: When you're dissapointed at the dismissal of Tom Kennedy then you are in trouble.
Agree with all the replies. At least it took Rhyl 3 games to beat us. Macclesfield away lost 4-1 AET. Was praying I was dreaming. Alas No.
Tuesday wasn’t close to being the worst performance ever. We did actually have some of the ball and had some chances. Wycombe and Shrewsbury last season were woeful, Burton too. All were at least as bad as Tuesday I’d say. I think the worst performance I’ve ever seen live was at home to a terrible Blackpool side in the first round of the cup in 02/03. We lost 4-1 and it flattered us. One of the very few times I’ve left a game early - I managed to miss us actually getting a penalty. (And missing it...). It sticks in the mind - but to be fair in that era there were plenty of absolutely shocking games to pick from. How a side with Bruce Dyer, Rory Fallon and Mike Sheron to pick from up front, Dean Gorre and Kevin Betsy to create, a decent keeper in Marriott and Chris Morgan at the back (yes we hate him but there wasn’t a better centre back at that level) could be so, so poor at what is now league one level is beyond me. It is testament to how poor the likes of Paul Gibbs, Chris Lumsdon and Alex Neil were.
Didnt go other night i don't genrally bother with the early rounds of any cup competitions these days, but it must have been poor. Worst performance I have witnessed in my time of watching barnsley and I could feel of quite a few, with every manager I can remember involved, but the one that tops it all for me was Doncaster away under wilson be surprised if we managed to put 3 passes together all game, we struggled to get the ball out of our own half we had one shot on target all game from about 25 yards the only reason it wasnt a cricket score was because donny were bang average if it hadn't been about minus 2 I'd have fallen asleep in my seat. Closely followed by altrincham away and when we scraped a draw with Chester in the f.a cup.
What about Donny rovers away with Paul Hart in charge wasn't it 4 0 to rovers ? When mad Wally got from behind the goals and managed to get in to the dug out to confront him. When he stood up he said reight am off nar Got be up there that game..
