I'm a happy clapper, eternal optimist. Please name me 3 teams we're better than in this league. Luton (perhaps), after that I'm struggling. We've plenty of potential, however there's a few players who are not quite ready.
That's a fair assessment unfortunately. For the second time in a row on the road its looked like we are a L1 team playing in the wrong division. The lack of experience and championship know how is killing us.
Utter garbage. Tippy tappy nonsense giving a goal away. How McGeehan keeps his place is beyond me, constantly passing to the opposition. Felt sorry for Mowatt, only decent player we have on that showing. Powder puff all night.
Aye and when they get us out of League 1 again they'll be flogged - wash, rinse and repeat. Some bizarre substitutions tonight almost seems like DS is making a point and Paul Conway's assertion about the transfer window seems wide of the mark this early in the season. It's going to be a frustrating season but hopefully we'll be rewarded because none of us want to see us relegated.
Read your own post.. How is us being disappointed at being comfortably beaten by Birmingham- objectively one of the weaker teams in the league an 'over reaction'?? Who cares what our age is and what Birmingham's team cost- our age will be the same and other teams will be as expensive throughout the season. By your own logic we are indeed relegation fodder. Must we allow any sort of performance because of the average age of the squad (a problem entirely and completely of our own making that even the manager was publicly asking to remedy while the window was open)? How much did the Carlisle squad cost to assemble? How many bad games before people will admit that we have gone into a Championship season with a squad weaker than we went into a League 1 season with last year. At least the bottom line is healthy and we are in a prime position to sell all these players after a good season in league 1 next year.. Sheffield Wednesday The cup Tuesdays I look forward to the next reason criticism is invalid.

Well, I've not seen the game. Just listened on radio. Seen both home games. At the moment I think we have to cut them some slack. It's hard to be patient and I see some weaknesses myself (particularly bad passing/decision-making in crucial areas) but at the moment I'm loathe to get on their backs too much. See how they are by end of September. Bloody frustrating though as I thought they'd get something tonight
It’s a good league 1 side. By the time we get relegated and promoted again it’ll probably be a good lower half championship team. Unfortunately we will probably then sell all the good players and start again. Still at least it’s not boring
So we have played 4 sides all currently in the top 10 Wednesday top with Charlton 3rd and Fulham 9th both with a game in hand. Apparently half on here are certain to that there is zero chance of this team improving and young players developing and we will certainly be relegated... Jeez...talk about fickle!!
Since before the start of the season I've said I'll be more than happy with just surviving. Some of the assessment on here is okay, but many are so surprised which totally baffles me.. Or maybe I shouldn't get surprised at the overreaction, I saw people on here after the Fulham game predict we'd finish in the top 8 haha.. But personally, I'm not too surprised. The goal remains the same of just trying to stay in this league. It's very disappointing to lose to a team like Birmingham, it's still early but they haven't looked good at all. Without Cauley or someone to help out the defense we seem screwed.
Tonight has to serve as a massive wake up call. Birmingham are quite honestly absolute *****. They really are, I’ll be amazed they aren’t bottom four or five. And they’ve beaten us tonight having had to do absolutely nothing. McGeehan has made the same mistake three times in four league games leading to a goal. How many more? I would question the team selection tonight too, going so lightweight when they are so physical could never have been a good idea. Not that there were too many alternatives of course. This ‘best ever window’ is starting to look a bit cracked and smashed. I only hope Stendel (who I don’t exclude from all criticism but it’s not his doing in the main) will stay. I’m not convinced. If we don’t get three points on Saturday we are in a spot of trouble.
Radlinger played well. Thought Williams did OK too & for most of the match Mowatt. Attacking threat was zero. Chaplin cannot lead the line. Shocker from McGeehan again, Headless chicken.
That was poor. Possession with no conviction or creativity in the first half. Came out after half time looking more positive but that quickly disappeared after another error. We’re crying out for a Dougall like player to sit in the midfield and not venture too far upfield. The defence looks very suspect, but the midfield doesn’t help at all, quite the opposite even. As much as I love Stendel, he’s got to have a rethink on our tactics at times, tonight being one of those times.
McGheenan looks like he’s got the monk on with being overlooked for the Captaincy. Maybe not on purpose, but it does look like it.
You joking? How can you watch someone play football for 90 minutes and come to that conclusion? Bizarre...
