A great first and last session, if you call that bit in the middle a session!

Warner rode his luck, if gamble that if he played that innings 10 times he’d have nicked off 8 times for a score under 10, labuschange played well and looked the part, I’d imagine he will bat at 3 once smith returns.

As for us tomorrow.. hopefully the sun is out, get in, don’t chase wide ones and cash in! Easier said than done :)

If today’s Ashes test shows anything, it is not to to pass judgement on sporting matters too soon!

Yes, was a massive turnaround. Archer made mincemeat of them.

I've just finished watching the highlights show on Channel 5 after avoiding this thread all day. I was sick of hearing them talking about the over-bowling of Jofra Archer. There were lengthy stoppages because of the weather for Christ's sake, which must have helped him cope and he's hardly a bairn at 24. I think his 6-fer says it all really. He's a weapon the Aussies are becoming terrified of and we would have been in a right pickle if he had bowled half as many overs..

That's the beauty of sport though, making predictions and judgments and being made to look a fool.
I love the ebb and flow of a five day test match.

I’m off to Headingley tomorrow, couldn’t have picked a better scenario. Fancy Roy to get a few tomorrow.

Sun’s shining, if he can get through first 10 overs it’ll flatten out and we could see fireworks. Big if though.

I know it was a very rain effected day, but I wish I had tickets for yesterday. Seeing Archer in full flow like that must have been an incredible sight! Wonder if we can pillock another 3 West Indians that have English passports over to create our own version of the famous West Indies' pace attack!

FFS, Jason Roy should not be opening up in Test cricket. For me, he's the very definition of a number 4 or 5 who can counter attack if needed. Once again though, our best batsmen(although not in great form) has been exposed to a rock hard cherry and two fresh opening bowlers...

The ECB needs to be diverting a large portion of the money they get from Sky to the Counties specifically for them to train the lost art of opening the batting.

Joe Root got a good ball but Burns and Roy were poor shots.
