He came on against Brum didn't he?

And maybe the owners are looking at a replacement in Jan rather than panic buy after Moore left them in the ****.

It was Moore who wanted to leave wasn't it and not the club who transfer listed him?

People slated the idea of bringing toney in he would have done miles better than chaplin did v brum with the corners and crosses that got put in

Hopefully that’s how we line up rather than with Thiam upfront. Cavare should be in the team and Thiam should be nowhere near it. Just seems an odd formation for what, even at this stage, is a must win game. At the same time I have faith in Stendhal
Why would any footballer not be ready? It’s their job to be fit and available to play. Schmidt clearly is both given he is on the bench.

There is a difference in been ready to play a full game or on the bench to make a impact, if schmidt wasnt on the bench which striker would we put on the bench? We have got no one, I still play 5 a side I'd give 100% I'm abit fat though and drink too much but our squad is so wafer thin I think I'd be considered.

So after 5 games & 1 injury we're having to play thiam as the central striker despite the fact he didn't play in that position at all last season in a lower division. Best transfer window ever.

Needs to get some subs on But if course not you may be deliriously happy with the performance so far. Me not so much.l but as far as I’m concerned Danny can have the job as long as he wants it. The plan got us promoted. It will also get us relegated.

He has been hung out to dry as far as I'm concerned wafer thin squad, I cant make the game today I'm going away but I agree we will be lucky to stay up. The thing that gets me is no one battered a eye lid when hecky played thiam upfront alone or mowatt, moncur on the wing or Pearson at full back just kept singing he's one of our own...

Schmidt and Chaplin, the reactive subs at half time it is then - so predictable.

Subs need to be on now. We need Cavare back in the side. The keeper pulls off good saves but makes mistakes and inspires no confidence. Thiam is a waste of space. Other than that all good.

I’d agree in the main. When we got promoted I felt we only had 3 players definitely capable of playing in the Championship and we have sold them all.

The not signing loan players doesn't help for a club like us sometimes you need a quality player who we wouldn't be able to afford who isnt getting in his premiership side like Harvey barnes or mcburnie.
Also would love to see cavare back I think something must have gone off there.

You would assume so. Team selection today hasn’t helped. It looked an awful ream and is an awful team.

Plenty will keep moaning up to January when we can change things but the truth is it’s exactly the same scenario as it was two seasons ago, the squad simply isn’t fit for purpose in terms of the forward areas.

In terms of forwards none of Wilks, Thiam & Chaplin are natural centre forwards who can lead the line.

If Chaplin plays he’s a second striker, he can’t lead the line so you’d have to change the formation & we’d be outnumbered in central midfield.

From what I’ve read about Schmidt is that he’s not a natural centre forward either, he’s played plenty out wide.

We need whatever issue there is with Cavare sorting out. My guess is he’s in his last year of his deal & won’t sign another but we need to put results above whatever goings off.

I’m really hoping Brown & Dougall are back soon to give us some kind of physicality, we look so lightweight & easy to play against.
