I must confess the situation at the moment seems dire and the performances are suggesting the season will be one of struggle but, ever the optimtist, I'm not ready to write us off this early into the season.
I commend the optimism & hope for the same, but we don’t have time to hang around being optimistic, ‘hoping’ they will get better.... they’re not Championship players NOW, we are in the Championship NOW!! We need players of Championship quality & experience NOW! Simple. From the outset only 1 or 2 of the gambles in terms of signings will eventually pay off. I refer to my original post... SIMPLY NOT GOOD ENOUGH at this level
Going down isn't necessarily a bad thing if the intention is to make money on the players you have signed. Which it is. Struggling players in a struggling team in the Championship don't get noticed. Players excelling in a team doing well in League 1 do get noticed. And you can sell them for lots of money.
But we keep doing that!! We now have the wealthiest owners in England (Apart from Man City maybe) ..... we don’t need that model anymore. I agree it’s a sound business model, but we don’t pay to watch a business model do we?!? We pay to watch good football with the hope of being successful?!? The model you quote will mean the club is self-sustaining, but with zero ambition other than to yo-yo!!!?
I could say “give me £25 a week & i’ll Send 22 kids to Locke park to play a game of football. It’ll be crap, you won’t enjoy it, & there is no future in it, but I’ll makes lots of cash out of it!!” ........would you pay!? If so, I’ll post my bank details!!
Do some digging to see if that actually holds any water. See what you find. For instance, why would this be on the top of Chien Lee's Wikipedia page? "This article may have been created or edited in return for undisclosed payments, a violation of Wikipedia's terms of use. It may require cleanup to comply with Wikipedia's content policies. (March 2019)" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chien_Lee
Point me in that direction, I'd be very interested to read them. There isn't a source for the article you posted, is there? There is for the Cryne family but not for anyone else.
There is if you have access! You can dispute their wealth if you wish, but they also own OCG Nice.... you don’t own two clubs if ur a ten bob millionaire. Why did they buy Barnsley..... read their profile.... they’re about asset realisation. What could they add to what they bought to increase it’s value?!?
That's not evidence of any wealth. Do yourself a favour, don't believe what you've been told, research it. If you find any I'd be interested to read it, but actual evidence not self promotion and repeated newspaper articles, but actual accounts.
Didn’t you post a link to a Wikipedia thread claiming wealth not true?! Why is that more believable that the same company claiming it is?!?
