He's not a captain he's never looked like one. Have him just concentrate on being a batter.

First wicket down stupidly playing at a ball he didn't have to hit.

I would, not maliciously, I just think he’s a far better player left to concentrate on his battin, then bring in a ‘cute’ captain who is tactically more astute and a man manager.

should be an interesting 1st session tomorrow , probably 30mins old ball then 90mins new ball unless lyon strikes early,
get to lunch 225/4 with new ball 20 overs old and sun baking then who knows?
the last ashes series here in general was pretty ordinary but this has got to be the worst since the early 80's in terms of skill,
yes it's still exciting, but if you can get bowled out for 67 and still have 2 days to get 200 to win with 7 wkts left then it doesn't say much about either team

Nice to see some fighting spirit from the England batsman. I still think we will lose but at least we are giving them something to think about.

    It's the hope that kills.you.

We could.be all.out by lunch. Or we could get close. We.need Root to stay there and just bat and bat.

    Come on England.

So, are we up for the chase? Looks good, but we all know it could be over in a couple of overs.

Bet they're a bit happier now that we're throwing our wickets away again!

Cant see it but if Stokes can manage to stay in we've still got a chance.

Jos needs to be dropped. Annoying of Archer to get himself out. We've over 4 sessions to get 73 runs and he plays one too many T20 shots. Stokes is running out of partners who can play sensible.

Their first innings has obviously let them down but they have had a really good crack at saving this. I never thought they would get anywhere near.

If we somehow by a fluke win this, then this will eclipse anything I've ever seen in test cricket. In reality, I feel like we're a lame animal that needs putting out of it's misery.
