It takes a bit off winning when you know it’s come about because of a glaring error from the Officials - whatever sport. BUT, that has got to be the finest batting performance i’ve ever seen from an England (ish) cricketer.
Quite remarkable. Been watching all day on a streaming channel and it took till the last two overs for the signal to go down. I was like a raging swearing bull trying to get the signal back on, putting the radio on which is about two minutes ahead of the stream, hearing Aggers going mad and then getting the stream back after the last over had finished. Five hours f.uc.ked up in the last five minutes ! Not to worry though, it was wonderful.
We deserved the win despite that review. We've lost players when they've not been out etc, this just happens to be at a bigger stake. Its bad luck.
When we won by 2 runs in 2005 that should have actually been a not out decision as Kasprowicz (sp) only had one hand on the bat when it hit him and Jones took the catch.
The game has been played for over 100 years with countless wrong decisions, but you know how many of them trump great games they were made in? None. I've played in games with plenty of crap decisions, with obviously bent umpiring but I can't think of games where they cost mytteam the match. There's hundreds of balls and countless chances that make the difference. Australia dropped a catch, missed a runout a,wasted a review and bowled 10 wides. I hate reviews so it was beautiful to see the game return to its natural state and am umpiring decision being made without a review in sight
If they hadn't wasted the review everything would have played out differently anyway and that delivery wouldn't have happened. It was a crap decision to review but it can't be said that it definitely cost them the match
