I agree. If anyone is less than elated, amazed and astounded they can go and fvck themselves!

First innings recriminations and the debrief come tomorrow!

I think it is because at times you might jump the gun a bit with things and it tends to rub people up the wrong way. This isn't me having a go or seeking an argument, just explaining why other posters (including me at times) might not respond in a favourable way. It isn't what you say, it is how you say it.

The Chinese (or more specifically Sichuanese) reckon chillies cool you down in summer and keep you warm in winter... I reckon it's just an excuse for a spicy meal if you ask me :)

£4 with your plastic cup back. If I'd have been 15 I'd have made a fortune stealing, I mean RETURNING, empty ones!

Actually it was £5 without returning a cup. Your first one was £6.

Have to agree and if it weren't for them Asian countries insisting on poor standard neutral umpires the best two umpires in the world Kettleborough and Gould would have probably been standing and given the right decision, ha ha ha.

I've been a big cricket supporter and once player for many years. Indeed it is my favourite sport by a country mile. I am therefore fully averse and used to the use of technology and the anomolies within this system. Generally speaking these things always even out over the course of a series. This is not football, we do not scream and shout when decisions go against us, we get on with it: we accept the rules even though it sometimes seems unfair. You will not get one australian player whining about what happened today but they will acknowledge they effed up and have no one else to blame but themselves: they had plenty of opportunies to win this game.
    Well played.

Worst call on here since somebody said Cook wouldn’t get 200 in the ashes down under in 2010/11??

I was also lucky enough to be there Friday but made up for it by being there Saturday. Don’t think my heart rate would have survived today being at home with grandson gave me the opportunity to hide from large chunks of play but from 50 out couldn’t stop watching.

Hindsight's a wonderful thing! This afternoon almost turned into a T20 game that was better suited to Stokes' offensive mentality. He did amazingly well and he will be a future captain in my eyes.

Saying that, our batsmen need to be patient when playing the longer form, today was just a perfect situation for Stokes to shine in. He knew it was only a matter of time before the tailenders would go and he needed to act quickly and take risks.

This, a million times this! Root and Stokes' knocks yesterday were the first true test match innings from any England player in the series. The satisfaction I got watching Stokes put on, I think 7 from over 80 balls was immense and if we had an opener or two who could do the same and protect the Root and Stokes' of the team, we wouldn't have needed the special monumental knock of Stokes to win the match...

It was a bit of a flippant remark but it was ridiculous to call for Stokes to be dropped he’s our best batsman after Root and is handy with the ball.
He was 2 off of 60 balls played a similar innings at lords. Showed in the World Cup against Sri Lanka, Australia and in the final that he’s not just a slogger.
Agree about the rest of our batting.
