Some interesting points, but the commonly-held belief about EU laws and rules being imposed against our will is a bit of a myth. The actual number of EU laws that we've been forced to adhere to, the ones we actively voted against, is really miniscule.

The good old EU, looking after the UK or are they just wanting our money to keep the majority of their countries solvent?

£9bn net a year is good value in my book. What would the cost be of replicating systems and structures for managing all the functions they provide us with and the huge market access that more than pays for membership.

Consider failing graylings messes, dup bribery, Johnson’s **** ups with routemasters, garden bridges, Olympic park and huge cost increases in cross rail.... I know where my money is better spent

Yes, personal gain. Avoid scrutiny, curry favour and hope to further his populist career. Is that not personal gain?

No but if it's just £5m as week it's better than it going to the EU.

I don’t think it’s reasonable to suggest that doing the exact opposite of what the public voted for is equivalent to implementing the result of a referendum as instructed by the British people.

We gave our instructions, MPs stood on manifestos and made personal promises to respect and implement our decision, and yet are doing the opposite.

This is an exceptional circumstance where our parliamentarians are against the people.

You do know the reason we haven’t left the EU is because of the ERG? Who want the most extreme exit at any cost?

I find it staggering this leave at any cost mentality.

It’s reckless and stupid and has no benefit at all.

And it’s reasonable to highlight what Johnson is dangerously doing by showing the opposite.

But sadly things are now judged on win loss in the here and now. Not on how sensible something is or future impact.
