    It's a pity they're not non-binding like the referendum.

You've not read them and thus you haven't understood the nature of my post.
This is consistent of you if nothing else.

And there we have it in a nutshell - passing comment on something that they haven't read or understood
If he had said he didn't like the EU legislating to force Food labels to say if Aspartine was an ingedient and gave a reason why, I might disagree but accept he can hold a different view. But to admit that he has no idea what the rules are but still disagree with them just sums up a large proportion of the vocal Leave at all costs .... oh **** it whats the point

I hate the food labels legislation. I much preferred it when I had no idea what I was eating. It was much more fun to play allergy roulette and take my chances with what was in stuff.

It was poor from the EU. They were FORCING THEIR LAWS onto us. We need to TAKE BACK CONTROL of things like this. LOOK AFTER OUR OWN.

This thread would be hilarious if it wasn't so scary.

They are NOT against the people. They are acting against the wishes of SOME of the people in the best interests of the whole and of future generations.

I agree. I'm not trying to change your mind. It's made up. I'm not being patronising or condescending at all, so you've misconstrued words.

I also fundamentally disagree with your interpretation of the withdrawal agreement (and we can't know what any actual deal is as its not been discussed yet).

And it's deliberately disingenuous for anyone to say that Brexit was pitched as the nuclear option of no deal, as anything else isn't Brexit. Nobody, nobody at all were pitching no deal as the solution from a successful leave vote. And you know that.

It would have gone through if ERG had voted for it, MP's in her own party. This is indisputable.

Though the withdrawal agreement wasn't a great one, deemed so by leavers and remainers. Should they vote that through and not hold the government to account to do better?

Did you vote for your aspiring MP because of his/her personality or because of his/her party?
I'm fairly sure it's the latter.
Therefore, should that MP be Labour should they vote on the lines of your wishes or the party you voted for?
MPs roles are to represent the interests of their constituents to the best of their ability and using the time to study issues and access to expert information those constituents don't have.

The ignorant were patronised with the lie that the EU would be falling over themselves to give us a great deal.

Couldn't agree more. Debate is futile. Reason is futile.

It was so refreshing that Dalestykes post had so much reason. An oasis in a sea of ham.

Exactly. How can an MP possibly fulfill every wish of every voter that elected them? It's impossible. Their job is to make Informed decisions in the best interests of the whole of their constituency.
Unfortunately, given the party political system we have, they sometimes don't even do that but that's another story.

But they are all sure no deal was exactly what they voted for.

So how did you come to the decision that the EU were going to give us a great deal?
