the socialist goals of people like scargill and bob crow do not appeal to the masses because socialism and everything associated with it have been ridiculed by the mainstream media ever since thatcher and co destroyed the unions and any power they had... not all socialist are commies either

added to this, neither is the eu a socialist organisation, it was not set up to look after the workers it was set up to look after capitalism. The workers rights that many attribute to the eu were already in place for people like myself who had the benefit of a strong union.. pensions, hol pay, sick pay, the right to tribunals etc etc were there for us and were won by people like scargill and not politicians like junker et al.

It’s really not worth the effort Dek, I wast told last week that the eu only makes laws on food additives and (in capitals because I’m so thick I dont know what Im voting for) that we can but choose not to decide who comes to our country, obviously the remainers in the camp hadn't considered the european court or freedom of movement but in their happy clappy eu nirvana these are mere details to be ignored. Far belter to patronise anyone who voted remain. Its really not worth it pal. Let the deluded see the merkel

To be honest dek, there's a lot in that piece that really appeals to me, it plays exactly to what I believe in. I just don't know enough about it to know if what he's saying is right.

jay, i'm not old enough to a have voted in the 1975 referendum but when i started at the pit , to a man, they were all saying we should never have joined the common market and that they had been duped into voting yes (by promises of better wages, early retirement etc etc),, the old union men all said, 'we told you so'', ie, you should never have voted yes

that piece by bob crow is just an opinion i have shared for nearly 40 years...

I answered you in capitals. You chose to ignore it, twice. seems I’m still waiting for an answer but you’ve chosen to mis quote it anyway.

We know the EU isn’t s socialist organisation, it’s fiscally neoliberal but at least it’s socially liberal.

However I don’t believe for a second that we’d elect a UK government to the left of the EU any time soon. So for me it’s the lesser of 2 evils.

    Nonsense.
You went off on one of your rants saying the EU decide our laws for us.
I then posted a link of the 72 laws forced on us by the EU which were all pretty sensible.
You keep ignoring the fact that our government does indeed control its own level of immigration and that’s why if we do leave the EU, immigration will not decrease.
There won’t be much from within Europe, obviously, but there will be more from outside the EU to bump up the numbers.

So what is the answer? If we leave Boris & Mogg for 5 years. Good luck with that. I'm looking at downscaling my business, which is in the wedding & entertainment industry. I'll be OK, but a lot of people that work for me will be on their arse. I speak to them every day & I try & look after every one, but the truth is I won't have the work.

I watched on Saturday as a group of middle aged idiots ruined a pleasant family day out for many visiting aBuckingham Palace by taunting tge armed police sent to the entrances to prevent them from storming in, later dressed in full remainer eu regalia including one o them silly berets with the stars on , one of them set fire to our flag. A proud moment for the cause. Crack on Boris lad, fulfil the democratic wish of the majority. Corbyns proved what a turncoat he is again and again.

I'm pleased that you are a multimillionaire, that has little command of the English language, but is OK jack. A lot of folks aren't in that position.

    The rise of the nazis?

I’ve got that on the viewing list.

It already appears to have caused some controversy with one of the hosts/speakers.
