    As long as we get a new gaffer that plays centre forwards up front instead of centre backs. That plays right backs at right back instead of centre backs. A gaffer that plays a player we sign to play up front up front when our main man is injured. Then I wish Stendel well. I'm not too fussed if he goes.

    They all have a shelf life. Barnsley F.C will still be there a week on Sunday.

    I like Stendel as a manager and as a bloke, and if he isn't manager for us he's the type i'd like to see do well. So for our sake i hope he doesn't go to Huddersfield but also for his own sake i hope he doesn't because i can only see it being a bad move for him.

    The cynical side of me is thinking the board are thinking and statement like that would put Huddersfield off slamming in a monetary offer for Daniel, hence the silence.

    Rumour over here is that he is down at Canalside complex on Leeds road, as I type. I did hear from a Town sponsor that they had already spoken to a local German manager but wouldn't give a name....could only be Stendel couldn't it? I personally don't see why he would, Huddersfield are in a real mess on and off the pitch. oh and he would be 4th choice as 3 already turned it down.

    I'd be really disappointed if he chose to go to Huddersfield given their current situation. Sorry, but as Rastrick pointed out, they're in a real mess on and off the pitch and the new owner doesn't have a pot to pi*s in.

    Wouldn't blame him had his best players sold even ones on 2 year deals, and many on this board discrediting his achievement last season and questioning his every team selection, even though the squad is thread bare.

    Like people say huddersfield would be a bad move they are on a slippery slope. But I do believe if stendel was given the money at a club in this league with the players to play his football he could achieve things.

    And three more: Not adequately replaced.

    Not discrediting Diaby and Andersen with that, but Stendel said he wanted 4 centre halves earlier in the summer, so these two weren't really replacements.
