It would be a year to gather the requirements, six months to a year for tender, implementation would then take a minimum of 3 years. I would be surprised if a working system was up and running within 5 years and it would cost some serious wedge - and that is without the usual project scope creep that comes with government IT projects.

Which isn't going to happen because the electorate is so fractured. In the long run this will probably bring about the end of two party politics - short term it's almost like a cold civil war...

I think your right but I’m not sure it will happen tbh.
I’d dread Tory landslide with the right wing In Charge of the party at present .
Labour I think would have to be coalition with either SNP or Lib Dem’s or both which wouldn’t be a bad thing in a way I suppose .
But This deadlock is killing the country and is almost proving to be nearly as bad as no deal .
I’d go for a deal to stay inthe Common Market part of it as some of the Brexiteers have said they would have no problem with #dekparker but something needs to happen other than no deal soon imo.

SNP / Labour / Plaid / Green coalition is most likely outcome. There may be a small majority there, if the election is called right, under a vote of no confidence. A lot of remain Tory seats will go to Lib Dems. I think Brexit Party will end up fielding candidates in Labour areas & they may take a handful of seats, but will split the vote with the Tories in many too. Lib Dems may take a few off Labour, but should a reasonable Brexit coalition be made for a second referendum, I could see Lib Dems backing that, but not supporting Labour on domestic policy generally.

I hope you are right. My biggest fear is a Tory/Brexit Party govt... to have Farage anywhere near power will be a total disaster.

It is a possibility, but I think jettisoning the right wing of the Tories leaves two parties singing from the same hymn sheet & in debates open to attack from all other parties. The Lib Dem bounce will be a strong one this time out. I don't like Swinson, but she is a lot more electable than here predecessors in this climate.

I'd personally like to see a big coalition of Labour, Lib Dems, SNP, Greens etc... all genuinely working together to sort this nightmare out, one way or another. At least LD won't align with the Tories again, I think they have learnt from the fallout of the last time they did that.

Yeah I voted Lib Dem in 2010. Never again. Twice I've voted because I live in an extremely soft labour seat no point.

What a complete waste of time and money. But he doesn't want an election. he really doesn't want an election. So why try and goad the oppositions to try and get one.

The sad thing, you just know there are half a dozen far right interns and spads wetting themselves at their perceived witty brilliance.

What a truly pathetic bunch we have in charge now.

Watching those cu.nts self-combust this week has been a rare shaft of light in a sorry, dark tale. The reception to their latest, appallingly childish attempt at humour has garnered some interesting responses on Twitter. Whichever sad fu.ck is coming up with these party-stoppers seriously wants a good slap.

She said she’d vote against it, not that it was Labour policy for all to vote against it.

What I’ve learnt in the last couple of years is that people starting or ending sentences with ’Fact’ are generally spouting an opinion they are not capable of substantiating.

So that cu.nt Boris Johnson thinks the opposition parties are making a "terrible political mistake" in not agreeing to an early election. Wouldn't that be a good thing for the T****s, then?? Unsurprisingly, another Johnson utterance defies logic.
