    So yes. As he explained.
As an MP he would have spoken to all sides and did.
Just like the government at the time were secretly meeting members of the IRA etc.
    Which gets conveniently overlooked.

    ‘Failed to convict’?
Well there’s 2 whole courts that see it differently to you. But we’ve now approached the point where if the facts don’t suit you’ll just repeat any old *****.

No pal, we reached a point when you resorted to insults as you’d lost the debate days ago, off home. Adieu.

You're not alone - I had to read it twice and double check who the poster was. He's definitely not making the point he thinks he is.

So do you consider that its the UK governments choice not to enact all its available powers that it could use to mitigate EU migrant settlement, and that in the last year, as the net flow of EU migration has dropped significantly, we've accepted more migration from outside the EU to make up the shortfall?

EU migrants tend to have very high rates of employment too. So do you consider migrant workers a bad thing if they contribute to the tax take, particular when we're told UK employment has never been so high?

Otherwise, why would you wish to stop the migration of workers who are fulfilling services and helping the country and the treasury?

Really - I thought we'd reached the point where you were spouting bare faced lies again and pretending it was normal behaviour. Do you want me to requote you in case you've forgotten?
You've several times described an innocent (as found by the courts and acknowledged by the government) man as an IRA terrorist.

I've no idea what your normal mates do when you say stuff like this - but in my world you'd be ridiculed. I'm sorry that you're a bit of a snowflake and you can't exist in the grown up world.

Ok then, what reputable, fact based evidence, that apparently nobody in both court cases heard about, leads you to believe that the convictions were wrongfully quashed?

For someone who likes to base everything on ‘facts’, you seem very reluctant to accept the fact that the convictions were quashed as there was no admittable evidence linking them with the crime (they were convicted purely on dubiously obtained confessions) - other facts being that the police admitted with-holding evidence and altering statements after another constabulary made that conclusion, that the government issued a full and humble apology to all four (and the maguire 7), and that all got very significant compensation due to their unfair incarceration. Four provisional IRA members also confessed to the Guildford bombings when they were done for Balcombe Street, but the police did nothing. At least one of them had an alibi which later proved he wasn’t there. They were also all well known petty criminal drug users - so completely contrary to the profile of who the IRA recruited.

    All facts.

Not really much to suggest they did it...

That's all well and good - but Trixter says they did it so... who needs evidence?

Has anyone read the story about the British soldier that saved Hitler? - Apparently in WW1, Britains most decorated soldier lead a charge in a battle and had Hitler in his sights - instead of shooting him in the back he let Hitler escape. It was a great story, except it was also complete rubbish - Hitler made it up (he was on leave in Germany at the time of the battle). In WW2 when the Germans bombed Coventry, the newspaper approached the soldier and he said that wished he'd shot him when he had chance - he actually remembered (or was quoted) the lie as true.
