I thought we had been very supportive and understanding of our young squad, bless em. https://www.drfc-vsc.co.uk/index.php?topic=274116.0
https://www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=99990 4 yellows in just seven games is a lot for his position, but he's been involved in a couple of clean sheets and already got off the mark. He might struggle for game time once Brown is fully match fit, but he's far better off being with us than them.
“To be honest, it's probably taken him 3 games to take in the full 'magnificence' of the club that is 'Barnsley'. Now he has, the poor lad is probably thinking "WTF have I done??!?!"...we'd all have a dip in form at that point as despair sets in“ Hahahahahaahahaha
Lol !!! I was just thinking the same. ALL the ex-Leeds players need to have their professional heads on - don’t let the occasion get to them. They have nothing to prove - Leeds are just another Championship club.
Do the 3 or so barnsley fans he’s spoken to speak for the whole of Barnsley like. Donny fans a fecking idiots
Was just thinking the same, its amazing how much ***** the Donny fans came up with base on second hand gossip from a 'mate'
Weve got a donny fan at our work, and to be fair to him he speaks alot of sense. He said as soon as we signed Wilks that he has potential to play at the very top and he was gutted to see is sign him. He also said that he was fairly inconsistent, 1 week he would tesr teams apart for the fun of it and the week after he would be the worst player on the pitch. That to me is a pretty fair analogy from what I've seen of him so far. Hes a young lad, they tend to be slightly inconsistent at that age. However they come here and we develop them to the point where those inconsistencies are torn out of them. Who ever these Barnsley fans are who this pikey has spoken to then (if it's even a true story) then I'm assuming they haven't seen a game or even stepped foot into Barnsley for the last 2 months. Most fans I speak to seem to think he could be the shining light of this side. It's also good to see that they still have a massive obsession with us. They're such a bizarre pokey little club arent they? I remember when they were promoted from non league and the majority of our supporters were cheering them on and wishing them well. I was delighted for them when they got promoted to league 1 when we was there, then they turned up at oakwell acting up as though it was the bloody old firm derby. Do they still bang on about that JPT game when they fetched 2,800 but are adamant they fetched close to 7000? Fair play, eh? Considering the attendance was only 8000 that night. They've got the attitude of Sheffield Wednesday fans with a club that's about the same size, if not smaller than Scunthorpe United. Weird, weird set of supporters.
To get the best out of Wilks he needs to play on the right it was his entire game at donny coming inside and crossing/shooting. A completely different proposition for him on the right.
Better decision making needed, both chances he's had this match, he's had Woodrow then Thomas on their own ready for the tap in.
Go watch all his goals and highlights of his professional career. What’s brought him success last season was playing on the right it’s a fact. Yet he’s been poor in every other game on the left? Apart from having a free role today.
