    Add to that the previous window preston broke their transfer record to sign brad potts and as far as j can remember we only brought in jordan green from yeovil.

    Exactly so it's very worrying that we weren't willing to pay 1.4 million for the kid from juve dubbed the next manzukic and would only go to 1.2 million..... anyway let's not grumble best transfer window ever.

    Not what I heard. Fee agreed but couldn’t get him to sign owing to wages.
    He’s now back in his homeland playing Champions League football.
    And has scored 2 goals in 12.

    Love how confident you are that your source is correct and any other opinion is wrong.

    I heard the kid had talks on wages and the transfer fee wasn't an issue. As our CEO said, our research led us to believe that targeted players would be within our salary cap. Then when we got them round the table their demands were on a different planet compared to the rest of the squad.

    For arguments sake lets say the wages were an issue, then fine. The fact remains however that we were not willing to meet his clubs demands (1.4 quoted by RS).

    We'd just made 4 million on a striker. They wouldn't fork out 1.4 million on a replacement? That's poor. Infact it's worse than poor.
