So someone offers you more money, you’re going to say “no thanks”? It’s not the greedy man, it’s human nature. Just think about the footballers we have lost over the last few years because some will pay more wages!
Those that argue that richer people have worked hard for their money and therefore deserve a relatively low level of taxation have an argument that has some merit. On the other side of things however, the country has a large number of rich that haven't worked so hard for their cash - take for example footballers, and those in the entertainment business like for example The Spice Girls. I know for a fact that many thousands of us have worked harder than them, but for little reward - I can sing better than them too, but then so can my neighbour's cat so that's not saying much. During the financial crisis the rich got two 5% reductions in the top level of tax. All Labour want to do is to restore it back to where it was, not unreasonable I think. To sum up, it just needs a taxation system that is fair. I believe things are too much in favour of the wealthy right now.
You're missing the point. But yeah, I've had one above inflation pay rise in 10 years so ill take it. And we now have people kicking a ball about for £350k a week whilst the rest of the game goes to hell in a handcart. If there should be no limit to economic disparity then that's a view you're welcome to. Indeed it's just about the only inequality that's left. Sacred pig eh?
Global warming is already impacting this in all fairness, if expected co2 rises of 3-4 degrees are attained, significant changes, some catastrophic, to the breadbasket regions will occur.
