Superb win for Japan and just what a so far boring and predictable tournament needed.

I think it's harsh to say boring and predictable...there's been some cracking games on...NZ v South Africa was a good one...France's fortunate win over Argentina after the Pumas came back from 17pts down...Ireland's hammering of the Scots was unexpected, Uruguay turning over Fiji was another...add Japan's result onto that and it's been pretty good so far in my view.

That's pretty much summed up what I've seen so far!
Oh and a lacklustre first match for England, followed by a strategic win in the second match!

Ireland will now realise that reaching the final isn't a walk over! I still fancy them for reaching the final

Ireland have been on a down-turn over the last 10 months or so. Thought this game would be fairly close but of course did not expect Japan to be the worthy winners. Hope Scotland and Japan go through to the quarters. Always support the 'home' nations in union when playing against the aussies, nz and sa and i'm predicting an england/nz final if they avoid each other in the semis.
