Because he’s the scapegoat! He wasn’t half as bad as others on the pitch when he came on. He should of smashed it straight towards our recruitment staff
True. He’s not fat - just bulked up, which seems to have happened in the last 4-5 weeks. He wasn’t this bulky in pre-season. It’s almost as if he’s been smashing the leg weights too much - which for a footballer is just as bad as being fat. Strange - but he’s still being picked so got to say Stendel and & Tonge know best.
To be fair plenty of people have been hammered today so he's not the scapegoat at all. Does anyone think he's not overweight?
After today we have much bigger problems then a substitute not clapping the fans at the end, winnall used to do it often. Scapegoat not bothered what anyone says
I'm not having a go at him for not clapping the fans. I actually thought he showed a little bit of passion when he booted the ball. But he's been overweight and disinterested (or seems to be) for more than 2 years now. That's what annoys me. Winnall didn't used to clap. But he scored and worked.
He didnt even start the game he does look over weight but what's some of the other lads excuses? Yeah winnall scored but if your questioning attitude... I just think of all the players and thing I could have picked fault with today this is one of the least important
Thought he lost interest after Woodrow didn’t play him in when he was in a clear shooting position, Woodrow looking for another worldy goal and lost possession, Thiam just shook his head and never really bothered after that .
This ^^^^ Woodrow, like many strikers are selfish. Plenty of times he doesn’t pass when should. I think Thiam is fed up of being there and not being passed to. We’ve all played football, so we all know what that’s like.
Thiam is not overweight just muscle bound and lacks liquidity of movement. I don’t think he’s anywhere near good enough to play in the championship which you could say if many of our players for most though you’d expect that given time they could be Mama not so much I’m afraid.
I don't think Thiam was good enough to play in league one either. His only really quality seems to be using those muscle bound legs to hit the ball really hard. Sometimes they go in, mostly they don't.
I'm not defending Winnall btw. I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire. I just made a comment that Thiam looks grossly overweight, or overmuscled or whatever the **** his defence counsel deem it. That's it. He's too bulky/fat to play football at this level. That's it. He wasn't the worst today. Defensively we were a shambles. But he was the fattest. And as a professional footballer there is no excuse.
Thiam can say absolutely nothing. Any time he gets within 25 yards he shoots, regardless of his position or options around him. Last season a few came off but usually, they’re nothing.
I’m no fan of Thiam he made a reasonable contribution in L1 though behind both Potts and Brown in terms of influence. I’d have left it at that. No offence to him but ya playing him shows what a weak squad we have.
