On current form not sure if Mowatt would attract much interest, still 3 months away I guess. Wouldn't be surprised to see Woodrow sold to a relegation rival.
I have the same fear. £3m to Charlton or summat and then replacing him with a reserve striker in the Ugbo mold.
Think Mowatt would thrive with better players mate. He's currently playing with an experimental sitting midfielder.
I think he’s just slightly too slow for the Championship not sure there’s any cure for that though someone like McPhail managed to overcome his lack of pace but he had greater quality than Alex.
Better players doesn't necessarily mean championship. If a top league one club came in for him to bolster their promotion push, would you bet against this lot letting him go if the money was right?
Then, if that were the case, the owners wouldn't care. They'd sell the whole team if it meant making PROFIT. We supporters could go whistle in the wind.
We'll sell Woodrow and replace him with someone from Stocksbridge Park Steels. He'll be the new Jamie Vardy in 10 years time.
As far as I see it Woodrow is the only player that a big team would make an offer for. If they sold him the repercussions would be huge. The real issue is not putting a few experienced pros in with the young lads. I'd doubt anyone would disagree, including DS.
Their plan is and has worked a treat give us promotion fill us with hope whilst building for league one filling the team with players that will take league one by storm thus making the owners huge profits when they sell them after next seasons escapade
Roughly 20% of the season gone so we're currently on target for around 25 points. As early as it is in the season, we've already given ourselves a lot to do. We need to win 1 in every 3 to get past the 40 points mark. If we take a similar points tally from our next 9 games, we've a mountain to climb and will be relying on others being equally as poor. We may have to call for flicker!
Based on what we've seen so far that's going to be a real struggle. As you say 1 win in 3 from the remaining 37 games would get us to about 40 points and an overall total of 45. it is what it is (on the playing side) until January. Even then, if we're cut adrift and beyond help I think Woodrow would push for a move himself. At present I can't see where a win is coming from.
