Agree. He’s good L1, and as he’s a confidence player, the Champ ain’t going to help him. I partly blame the fitness team for the muscle. He’s working hard to better himself for the Champ, but it’s working against him with the bulk. Some people are born like this. I read an interview with Natalie Pinkham the other week. She has a similar problem apparently, where if she goes to the gym too much, her muscles become quite defined quickly and she says her arms etc start to look like a bloke. Some people’s genetics are just like that.
Thiam is a very weird one. He has that odd moment of brilliance but it appears once every 5 games and that number is maybe being generous. I don’t think he’s fat, I think he’s bulky and it’s all muscle but his general fitness level isn’t up to it. He was fresh legs today when he came on yet he was blowing near the end even though he was barely pressuring their defenders. He doesn’t fit how we play. I reckon he’ll be off back to France in January.
To be fair were going round in circles. I apologise if I've been a ***** to a fellow Reds fan. Have a good evening.
Not at all pal. I think we both think the same thing. Just I think the fitness team etc have to take a share of any blame in regards to being too bulked.
Well yes, I’m a 40 year old man. Thiam won’t be good enough for this level while he’s got a hole in his arse. He’s that bad even this lot didn’t manage to flog him.
Somehow Bahre, Styles and Simeos are deemed less reliable at the moment. Stendel picks the team and therefore has to take some blame for thinking that way.
Okay all I know it sounds like I'm only picking on Thiam for today's result, But this is far far away from why I started this thread. I posted the original post because I was totally discusted with his reaction at the end. If he wants to walk straight down the touch line to the warmth of the dressing room without some thoughts for us all that had sat watching that till end then he can pack his bags and leave.
His powerful shooting would have been ideal for today's conditions, I would have played him before Chaplin.
