We've had loads of loans since Long. Mcburnie, James, Barnes, lad from Everton. In fact only last season we had Bahre on loan with a view to a buy. This season - nothing. Can't see how it's the same mate.
I'm pretty sure if a McBurnie or a Barnes came along we'd try to sign them. However, the difference historically was we built loan players into our assumptions of the squad make up, probably because they were cheaper & less risky This time round we've not done that & hence why we've signed so many. I'm not completely against that as they should be supplementary but I don't think we're now turning down any loan options (unless I've missed that).
I don't know if it's a written rule mate, but premier league squads are massive. There surely must be the next mcburnie or Barnes out there who's manager would welcome the experience?
Interestingly the fella at Accy has been really open about how in the last couple of years the £££ clubs are expecting for these types of players has shot up massively. Maybe summat to do with it?
You can with... Fatuation bast... Ard.. Especially when the question is what do you want your poppadoms cooking in sir.... Il get mi coite before the snow flakes arrive....
Under patrick we made plenty of good loans long, Ashley fletcher, ivan toney, harvey barnes, mcburnie matty james to a lesser extent gardner and William's. Cryne was also behind brining in hammill when we were promoted he made hammill the highest paid player at the club at 27 and gave him a 2 year deal. Cryne sold conor and winnall who had 6 months left this lot sold potts who had 2 year when we were going for promotion and then our top scorer with 2 year left. Pretty sure paul conway said when speaking about how successful the summer window had been stating we had gave ex amount of players 4 year deals, he also said we have haven't gone down the loan route so we wont be blooding other teams players something along them lines.
