its totally the new ownership thats at fault. They have totally no idea what English football is about at all. Until they take notice of Stendel, hs staff and indeed the fans , then they are going nowhere... its as if they are playing kinda bizzarre computer game, but with live people. It simpley has to stop.
These last few games, from the start of the season, is the very start of the plan. If we were in this position and Patrick was in charge, I would be pulling mi hair out by now. After sitting in the rain throughout the game I’m extremely disappointed at the result. But I’m not worried one little tiny tinsy weeny little bit about this result.
I don’t blame the head coach either, he wasn’t allowed to build on what was created last season. Most clubs would try to strengthen to compete in a higher league and we did the opposite. Having said that, the penny must be beginning to drop that the high press with no pace at the back will be punished in this league. We can’t afford a one plan coach when the plan isn’t working. Before anybody says that I’m panicking, I’ll say right now that I am. That was one of the worst performances I’ve seen from Barnsley in this division in 60 years of watching them.
I know emotions are running high but this is extreme at best. In one of the worst performances that you've ever seen, we SHOULD have gone 2-0 up, we should have been given the advantage to be through one on one to equalise, and we should have had at least one penalty (according to reports). It wasn't great yesterday by any means, but that was a really talented Brentford side we played. We saw far worse than yesterday the last time we were relegated from the Championship.
I don't blame any of them either, but the one thing we have to think is how long can they keep trying to get the right first 11 out? a few more games then a quarter of the season is already gone. Mind you, I've seen us be bottom at Christmas and get promoted under the Hecky era, so anything can happen. It's Football, sometimes it's a really strange game...
Brentfords number 7 yesterday at times made Usain Bolt look slow in comparison.. Not surprising our defence found it difficult.
They had 3 players at least who were better then anything we've got bu a mile - 7,10 and I hate to say it 11 - not difficult to see why we lost - only way to combat that is to keep your shape and do your job - we did neither - individually or collectively.
