C.YA, if he wants out let him go, why would you want somebody on ya team who dunt wanna be part of it, and aint got the stomach for a fight.
A professor of mine at university said "The internet is good for collecting information. But if you wish to increase your knowledge, then study in a library. If you're incapable of separating information & knowledge, you're going to fail". In my opinion, he was spot on.
Is his stock actually high though? He did well last season, when we were one of the favourites to go up, but he's struggling so far this season. Granted, he's not got any easy job considering we were joint favourites for relegation, coupled with the squad changes, but his tactics are questionable this term. I can't see anybody over here taking a punt on him unless he turns it around drastically in the next month or so.
It's probably not as high as last season, but I would imagine some would still take a look at him based on that, but it'll be diminishing with every defeat.
I can't imagine the fans of any team in the championship would be happy if they got a nobody like Strendel, would be a brave board/owner who did. Didn't work out too well last time for Leeds.
Getting out of league one isnt so easy it took sheffield united 6 seasons with budgets that would dwarf ours, look at sunderland, pompey have started poor this time round as have rotherham with experienced managers. Stendel is in a lose lose situation with this group we haven't got enough quality to play his style of play, we haven't got a target man to go direct, if we sit back and put men behind the ball over 90 minutes chances are we will concede. I think he will get a job elsewhere if/when he decides to go.
Dont understand why so many on here deem DS to be some kind of God who is completely above criticism. Can’t see myself what hes done to get such a god like status among a large majority on this board...
Not God but an enthusiastic manager that seems to get the best from his players and has us playing exciting pressing football. Also; to achieve promotion in his first season of English football is an achievement Best manager since Danny Wilson imo.
Danny Wilson was naive and left a massive gap between defence and goalkeeper too. Danny Wilson was also told on MOTD every saturday where he was going wrong by Hansen and Lawrenson but wouldn't listen to that either. The similarities are uncanny.
And when the style worked it was exhilarating. I actually think these players have some really good qualities. They just are so young in the main that they aren't ready for Championship football. We're either going to make them or break them. Of course if we do succeed in making them, we have to remember its for someone else... not for us.
