Pretty sure that my statement earlier was “if found guilty he deserves time” so if found guilty is the court deciding and he deserves time is my opinion based on if the court finds him guilty. What exactly was it you were trying to say?
Anyone with his record who did that in Sunday morning football, got seen and arrested would be facing the likelihood of a custodial sentence, and rightly so.
He's not "one of the lads avin a laugh" he's a mindless thug, and yes he does deserve prison, at least 3 yrs imho.
If he is found guilty and the law offers it as a suitable punishment and he gets it, then yes, obviously he deserves it. We haven’t just invented the punishment and decided that it should apply to him as a one off and break from convention. If the court decides that’s what he gets then that is what he deserves.
Plobby you are contradicting yourself here. You’ve said that he doesn’t deserve to go to prison as the punishment doesn’t fit the crime. Then asking if others were in the tunnel, as you weren’t, as none of us know what went on. How can the punishment not fit the crime if you don’t know what crime, if any, was committed nor to what extent? Barton has a wrap sheet which paints him as a violent thug. That is a fact. We don’t know what happened - but we’ve heard pretty consistent reports about it. I don’t think the cps would prosecute for a minor scuffle. If, and I mean IF, he is convicted, then the magistrates will have no option in my view than to pass up to the crown to sentence, as the maximum they can give is 6 months custody. If convicted I don’t think he’d get away with that given his previous convictions. I hope not. I certainly wouldn’t like to see him avoid a custodial sentence if convicted. He is a repeat violent offender.
Let's save tax payers money and have a raffle for 10 lucky Tarn fans to have 15 mins with him each. Prison won't sort him, he's a wrong un with money. He's been short a good slap or kick in his entire life.
He’s had more lives then a Cheshire Cat. Courts are better reluctant to jail people these days, so if found guilty we will see how reluctant.
To be fair he’d batter 99% of Barnsley fans, he used to regularly train with Ricky Hatton at whilst at Man City as a young un. One things for sure he can scrap
How many offences would you think he has to commit. Before a custodial sentence is thrust upon him. So if found guilty you'd be quite happy to see him get community service or summat like. That's the impression you give on that last statement.
He's already been judged as a violent thug, on and off the pitch. But you're right, innocent until proven otherwise in this case. I only reiterated the reported events. Events I'm led to believe. Because he's a proven violent thug.
I'd like a crack at the little sh*t and his meathead minders. When in the history of football have we had a visiting manager escorted around by former BNP types? Him being allowed to manage a team was always a recipe for disaster.
