Well if they were like you say pointing the finger solely at cauley that's unacceptable but people have got every right to be pissed off watching that. Like I said I remember dawson and brek shea doing it and getting slated for it.
The fans who are paying good money to watch this sh*te have every right to show how frustrated they are but abusing a player, one of our best players, is out of order. Chant against the board, boo, walk out early but don't go giving players abuse, not when they aren't to blame for this mess.
No-one forces them to go. Brek Shea got abuse because he didn't care and didn't give a toss. Whatever thoughts people have on the quality of our squad, I can't fault their graft. As I see it they go out there every week and run their blood to water and at this point they're just not good enough. There's nothing they can do about that, and I'm pretty sure that being shouted at by ***** in Stone Island won't have a positive effect on performances. I don't see why people should shout at a bunch of young lads who are honestly trying their best for the club. For me the blame doesn't lie with them, it lies with the board.
Genuine player wears heart on his sleeve blood to water every game bet he's frustrated by our position.
As anyone who has met me will know, I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Can someone explain to me, obviously in simple terms, how paying ~£350-400 every year affords you the right to abuse people, even in the event that the ~£350-400 you pay goes towards their wages?
If you made a list of who to blame for the mess we are in, he would be near the very bottom of it. He is a class above his team mates and those who felt the need to abuse him today.
Should just walk away, he’s earning more money in a week then 90% of the fans there earn in a month, needs to keep his head down and apologise for the appalling display we paid for.
It certainly helps yes, I often feel liked telling people at work - my colleagues - to FRO, but then I remember it’s just as job. if any of my clients who pay my wage were abusive to me I’d walk away/put the phone down. I’d neither take it nor react.
I saw it. Bloke in red cap giving him dogs abuse. Cauley invited him to come down and talk to him. Nowt moronic about that. What's moronic is blaming the players, when it's not their fault they're not good enough. They have been chucked in at the deep end and today they sank.
He’s the best thing the club has on the payroll. If the fans are giving him stick they should have a rethink.
Does make me laugh how people think any level of abuse is acceptable, but any kind of reaction isn’t.
I was verbally abused for 30 years while doing my job, in person and over the phone. I never reacted once, as it would have been unprofessional and got me into trouble. That's one of the reasons for the career change which ended my years as a season ticket holder. Woodrow is the last player that I would have given stick to though.
I think that individual was giving them all abuse when they came over to applaud the fans. My son said he was giving it the big "I've paid good money". I've never seen him before.
I have no idea what your job was but I would hazard a guess that Cauley’s is much more high pressured and hence, emotions are running much higher. I would guess Cauley will probably regret it tomorrow but none of our players should be getting abused by fans, let alone one of our best.
