How we could do with someone of his type. Today he blatantly grabbed a foot and avoided a booking. He held on to the ball to stop us getting on with it and again avoided a booking. He does the annoying stuff that you hate of an opposition player by using some know how to get away with stuff. Knows where the net is too.

He’s a tw@t but he’s good at it. Not sure he “knows where the net is” though...

He is and every team needs one. Seems the type that will pump up the team and who will shout at a team mate in the dressing room at full time if he thinks they haven't done well enough.

Stendel told Radio Sheffield our dressing room was quiet today. After our latest pasting it should have been full of noise with players angry and telling home truths. A Pearson type would do that.

Him and Drinkwater at the side of each other -both sold for £1 million each.
But then again we wouldn’t have tried them out at Barnsley - because we have now ditched the loan system.
In hindsight the Cryne recruitment system was a good one - but unfortunately he didn’t have the money to secure these loan players when they came available.
These fellas in charge now have got the money.

But we have said all this before.
Loan players that have recently come to the club that if the owner at the time had money to secure them we would now have a Premeir League team.

    2nd goal in 126 apps.

Ben Watson scored his 1st goal in 3 years the other week when we played Forest.

Tom Huddlestone scored his 1st in a long, long time on Wednesday too.

Nice we're being so charitable at least.

Indeed. But, in my head anyway, “knowing where the net is” means he’s a regular scorer and given the stats provided on this thread of him scoring 2 in 126 appearances, he’s clearly not that.

Never thought I'd say this, but I agree with Nudger.

Yes his goal in this game was his first in over 3 years. It's beside the point really though as he's a holding midfielder, and a top quality one for this division. The only reason we've managed to keep him is probably his awful disciplinary record.

Chris Martin's another one of that type. I really do hate that man, as a footballer, he's dirty, plays the ref like a fiddle.... But I so wish he played for us.
