Thanks like I say I didn't know the details. Said he was offered parking in the Ponty car park which he wasn't willing to do as it takes so long to get out of the ground. He just chose not to come anymore which is a bit sad.
Wasn't taking sides on the issue just I know some were effected by it.

It's worth looking at the historical losses in Red Rain's mammoth post of clubs that have tried and failed to get to the Premier League, or got there and fallen from grace. Those are significant even if our owners have the money you claim, which I don't believe they have.

We’re not using that method according to our owners .
Our strategy is different in that money generated has to come through players sales and team spirit etc .
This then leaves money to invest in infrastructure which is needed in the stands etc.
The board have stated this it’s not something we havnt been told . Everything generated will be invested in the club which imo means debt for players will not be tied around our necks like a Bury or a Bolton .
I’m as frustrated as the next fan at recent events on the field but I await in anticipation at the owners next step to put things in order .

I don't understand how you think this approach can lead to the Premier League. It can't, as it is currently illustrating, lead to consolidation in the Championship. If we are relegated, which even at this early stage looks likely, and we're promoted again, far less likely but certainly possible, we will have players who have performed well to win that promotion and we'll sell them and replace them with youth just like this year and be in just the same position.
I don't believe it's possible to get anywhere near the Premier league with this approach and I don't think they're trying to. I think they believe it would require investment from themselves which they're not prepared to do. I think they believe a profit can be made from the approach they're taking and the accounts will show that.
I don't want or expect them to invest. But I believe consolidation can be achieved in the Championship within budget but not with the kind of profit currently being made. It would need all profits from sales reinvested in players and that's not currently happening.

It’s not me that thinks this strategy will work it’s what the owners have set out as their strategy and I’m more or less wait and see ,
They’ve said there’ll be setbacks etc but they’re here for the long term and only time will tell I’m just taking their word .
But as far as these owners I don’t think we’ve much choice but to see because no one else wanted to take a chance on us and if they did would also want a return even if putting the club into debt which is what I don’t want ,
If we can’t sustain Championship status I still want to see league football at Oakwell not go down Burys route.

Lol! On current form and strategy this lot won’t get us to the premier league whilst I’ve a hole in my arse! Maybe the northern premier league, now there’s definitely scope for that to happen if they hang around long enough

You're kidding yourself mate. I had absolutely no idea why they bought us in the first place. The lack of investment and sales from the first team now tells us everything.

Could they be using BFC as a loss-making tax vehicle to offset their profits elsewhere?

Who knows ? they tried to buy several clubs of our size before us . The fact that Patrick was so ill made the transaction easier. I feel like we are trapped as supporters cos in my heart I'd like them to **** off but then we'd probably be worse off .

Well they're certainly doing well with the losses.

Doesn't really cut it though if you have real mobility issues and you have had a ST pass for that area for several years but now find yourself frozen out. I have great respect for you Gally but I think "they were offered alternatives" isn't really good enough (and I know you are not a mouthpiece for the club). In the final analysis people will have to form their own judgement about whether they keep turning up to support this club, but "the car park is for the exec floor" isn't the ethos of the type of BFC or this town that I recognise. If we've become a club for the young and the rich, then so be it. And I'm not one of the people affected.
