Well for a start they have shafted us and the manager good and proper with their policies, Results are getting worse fans are up in arms and they are leaving poor old Daniel to face it
Got to say, Murphy is a pretty quiet CEO. I know at times like this sometimes it’s best to say anything, but I do feel he’s been quiet since appointed.
Ok, I do my weekly big shop at Tesco. I plow more money into Tesco a month than I spend on my season ticket. Does that mean that Tesco should keep me in the loop on all their business dealings? Cos, you know that football club we love? It's a business. They don't need to tell us anything.
What about if he wants to leave for personal reasons or he feels the players aren't playing for him.Until there's a statement its unfair to blame anybody.
Why is it? Why do we think that the owners of a business have any requirements to tell their customers what's going on?
Well I doubt you are emotionally attached to Tesco, in the same way you are to your football club. I used to shop there, realised I could save a fortune at Aldi, and switched. Huddersfield and Bradford have cheaper season tickets than we do, but I'm not about to switch my custom to them like one would a supermarket. But I do see your point about why should they disclose private information to us, the mere customers. But, at the same time, there is a deafening silence coming out of Oakwell.
Its not ANY business its a football club with a narrow fan (client) base that they rely on for income, I could go on, but your'e just being obtuse anyway
Your right they don't have to. Fans don't have to keep going either. I fear that may be the way this goes. But we are a fickle lot if someone comes in and starts winning all will be forgiven.
What a strange viewpoint. You wouldn’t shop in Tesco if they kept selling you rubbish. Football is different. It depends upon blind loyalty. It is totally unlike any other business.
For the same reason they expect me to shell out for season tickets with no guarantees about the product they are selling. Mutual trust.
Because unlike a supermarket a football club had a very limited set of customers and keeping them happy so they come back year on year is probably a good idea? Don't "expect" anything and would likely just be spin anyway.
On the flip side, taxpayers are demanding the leading figures to explain where and what money is being spent on. You can’t avoid tax just like you can’t change your football club.
