Woken up? You lucky $_€^$^_=$&. In order to wake up, you have to be able to sleep. It's impossible to sleep while laid in bed fuming like a 60s Woodbine chain smoker. Get the lot of them out.
Sorry, very ambiguous I know. I'm referring to the owners. And I do realise that other opinions are available.
Plus you can sack directors. The board are directors. The owners are shareholders...but let’s not get into that
Why? I understand the sadness behind Daniel going, but it’s one win in twelve this season and he seems clueless as to how to fix things. There could be other things we don’t know about also. He was rumoured to have met Huddersfield recently which isn’t a great look. He’s continually arguing against the club strategy, it’s very similar to Heckingbottom’s end. Now, I happen to be upset that he’s gone and would have given him much longer. I also believe the club’s recruitment policy has made his job a lot harder than it needed to be. So I don’t necessarily agree with his leaving. But I don’t personally want the owners or board out.
That's a fair point of view which you're entitled to. I'm probably too emotional at the moment, I'm not ashamed to say I shed a tear last night, and being emotional is not the best pre-cursor to constructing reasoned arguments. Emotion is part of football, but emotion doesn't appear on balance sheets or accounts. Relationships between fans and manager/players are part of the fun of supporting football teams. Our owners appear not to understand this, at least that's the impression I have. I'm struggling to understand what they bring to our club at the moment, but I'm open to having it explained to me.
I watched a video last night highlighting last season and by the end I was welling up. So I’m with you all the way, it’s a sad time. I was just trying to offer up the alternate viewpoint and one that the ownership was probably looking at, without emotion. We have to remember that we don’t see all the ins and outs, day in, day out. I’m going to suggest that like Heckingbottom before him, Stendel signed up for the job knowing the strategy and has slowly grown tired of it as he sees it’s a pretty arduous task a level higher up. He has publicly, like Paul did, questioned the plan and denigrated the players he has at his disposal. Results have been appalling, the second half at Preston was an embarrassment quite frankly. And thus, things have come to a head. I can disagree with the club’s recruitment policy, which I do, and I can also be sad that we have lost a manager I was very fond of, which I am. But I also see the other side of the coin and when all is said and done, that club belongs to me and I will support it regardless of Dennis, Cryne or Conway. I’ve supported through many, far darker times than this. I have perspective. Unhappy but not going overboard. I’m probably dull for such an approach. May our next manager be as successful.
