IF he's been talking to sunderland and agreed terms with them behind BFCs back then he's not the man I thought he was. We'll see.
......and taking the backroom staff with him?? now that would be a double whammy. surely not Daniel. Surely not??
Would not bother me either way.. Its who comes in here that I'm only interested in.. Good luck to Daniel wherever he ends up...
As its free reign on filling in the blanks on here I'm going to say he was obviously tapped up if he gets the Sunderland job.
Lets just hope he doesn't. Stern and Tonge can still be good henchmen to the new guy whoever that may be.
I would say that the damage is already done.. between the majority of fans and the board. Not irretrievable but definitely in intensive care.. Plus not all of us take everything the club says to be gospel... I personally don't believe a word that comes out of that place.
Just say he has been tapped up by Sunderland. Maybe the club are waiting to see if it's confirmed before making a comment so they don't have egg on their faces
Why would they have egg on their faces if he was tapped up? You can still say thank you and good luck. Fans arent backing him there btw so I'm not sure he will be going. Possibly he was contacted after the rumours to go and speak to them.
could well be. if, god forbid, DS has been manouvering behind the Boards back then any further statements could well be on lock down until the legal bits and pieces are sorted. one thing I can't grasp and a question which hasn't been posed amongst all the shutvthat flying around is........why would the board sack the man they were trying to negotiate a new long term contract with???
This is getting silly. Maybe just maybe he pushed getting sacked because he'd been talking to Sunderland. Why on earth would the owners be stupid enough to fall into that trap? And why with the boards backing would he talk to them when we're in the championship and they're out of play off contention in league 1 without a pot to piss in according to their fans
Sunderland don’t have any money. They are in a similar situation to us as most debts have been written off. They have bigger crowds but the stadium costs more to run. Could be ideal for Stendel if he can get them playing well enough to get near promotion. I’ve a feeling he might get backed more in the Championship there if he could get promotion.
