With the way the club have started life back in the championship, does anyone see other clubs wanting to come in and buy any of the current players in Jan / end of season. If the team / players aren’t successful can’t sell anyone on for big money so the plan doesn’t work. Need the team to do well and continue to do well so other teams want to spend money on the players. Plan isn’t going to work if players aren’t an attractive asset, we will always sell best players but got to build a good team around them and keep bringing through others to replace them that are sold not sell all assets and replace them poorly. Can see the reds struggling financially next 12 months if relegated as how will £6 million deficit be recouped?
I think only Woodrow would make us much money Mowatt would need to up his performance I reckon to get another championship move.
There are always teams going to make enquiries for players. In my mind Pinnock was let go for far too little. Fees on Moore & Lyndsey as reported were about what you would expect. How the directors deal with the next 4 months will tell us everything we need to know about their intentions. At the moment it is fair to say we are in the main highly skeptical about their interest in our being an established Championship club, which Conway said was their aim when they took over. It isn't looking that way at the minute. The sale of Woodrow & Mowatt would lead me to boycott attending whilst they were in charge & I don't think I'd be the only one. At the moment I'm largely keeping my powder dry over what is happening, but having seen the "best transfer window" in the summer I'm really not holding my breath.
Can see Woodrow going in January for first offer and being replaced by 17 year old Jeremie Alialialiooop from Arsenals reserve youth team. Maintaining the plan.
Yeah I don't think we have to worry about losing our attacking midfielder. He's not banging in the goals or racking up the assists.
That's because he was chasing his tail pressing that high up the pitch when the opposition cleared the ball he was continually taken out of the game.
