This image in many ways scares me. It’s like I have taken loads of acid and I am locked into a strange world of manga on grove street. Any moment Toby is going to reveal his sharp teeth and eat my knees off. It’s such a bizarre image, incongruous on every level, that my brain still struggles to compute it.

You don't have to be fluent in Mandarin. You need to know how to read Chinese characters, which are the same whatever Chinese dialect you can speak.

Apart from to Mario who I apologised profusely to. I think it's a pertinent point. You don't and that's fair enough. I don't think our owners are nearly as rich or as influential as they would like people to believe and I think this is just one of many examples that negates the claim. That's not strictly true. Cantonese (Southern China, Hong Kong etc) uses traditional characters which are more complex, Mandarin (Beijing, Shanghai, Taiwan etc) uses simplified. Cantonese speakers will be able to read and understand simplified but it is much harder the other way round.

Yes. OK Jay. I am not as hung up (no pun intended) on the influence or wealth of our owners. It’s pretty irrelevant when it became clear very early on that they weren’t going to chuck any money at the club. Not even been a mystery to me as to why they bought us. They’ve got together and taken a punt. They can run us without losing any money and maybe over the next few years we might ( unlikely but might ) be in a position where they could sell us and make a big profit. They aren’t asset stripping or running us down but don’t understand what football means to us supporters.
