master riddler of late. unlike you I have to say. is it sarcasm? irony? comedy? don't worry I won't keep asking. If I did you'd be getting me confused with someone who actually gave ****.
Quote: 55 and counting >How long did it take Patrick to find a suitable Buyer? Was he really trying to sell it ? I had no idea it was even for sale So not sure how potential buyers would know it was Did he have agents company’s pushing the sale worldwide. When he Announced he had less than a year to live and he had to sell it He had a buyer within a few months if that. If the club was put up for sale and pushed around the globe by agents which it will be when the investors leave in the next few years or less It Will be sold in s few months to a year. If the investors thought they would have any trouble at all selling the club they wouldn’t have bought it in the first place.
Because of what he said in the light of events yesterday I googled if/when in German. It's the same word, wenn. He did repeat when too so maybe it makes more sense if he meant it as an if.
I read into using the word separated as a non commital word, give it no indication of why. In situations like this Companies don’t tend to use further updates as it puts pressure on them to follow up. If they don’t follow up with an appropriate statement then all the furore created is justified and deserved.
DD I don't know exactly how long it took him to sell but my memory of it was that it took years rather than months. I'm sure someone else will be able to post exact dates. May be you know? If so then let us know. Suffice to say he appeared to have great difficulty finding a buyer. If I'm wrong then I clearly stand corrected.
You’re not wrong it was years But I may not have written the post very well Those years the club was up for sale Did he really want to sell it Was he pushing a sale with all available avenues Did he really mean it I believe not When he had to sell it , he had been told the clock was ticking down fast He employed agents to sell it worldwide And he found a buyer in no time really
ok . point taken...particularly the thought that he might not have been using all available avenues. If we are ever in that situation again then your last lone has given me some hope.
Well you've shown yourself up to what you actually are if anyone challenges you. And it wasn't much of a challenge. But I personally believe your opening post is at best spectacularly naive and at worst disgusting. And from the way you've conducted yourself since that original post I think it's clear what you are.
My personal feeling on this is that they'll be hoping to make an appointment very soon, if not by Swansea, certainly before West Brom match. If they do I can't see another statement being made, just the appointment, in the hope the fans will get behind the manager & the players & they can ride it out. If they fail to do this & we don't get a reaction against Swansea, as sometimes happens after a managerial sacking, the silence will start to become deafening, and they may be forced to make some sort of statement. Only my view. They are experienced business people & know how to handle this type of scenario. It is clear the honeymoon period is over for the new board, and one wonders what conclusions they have drawn from the start to this season, both in terms of playing style & to some extent the "plan". Clearly DS was recruited because of his high press style, which with the players at his disposal (and a long injury list), has not reaped results thus far. Only time will tell & January will be the key indicator of this. A second relegation in their two and a half year tenure won't be a good thing for them. I can't see the level of support being the same at the start of the 2020/21 season, if some change of approach isn't made. Both the board & DS deserve credit for an amazing season last year, but up to now the wheels have come off the bus.
Right then. Such a relief to wake up and discover that a person who hasn't met me and doesn't know me has no other personal insults to fire off in my direction. For clarity's sake I'm just a fan with an opinion, but I also have a family and friends and I think it's more logical to let them decide whether I'm naive and arrogant rather than listen to the views of a complete stranger who has had no involvement in my life and has no idea how I've led that life to date. Goodbye.
