he's been involved in various activities for years predating the GFA. And he'll have only retired when he got sent down. You dont get to that level of influence in the IRA without remaining close to the inner circles. . . Gerry Adams describes him only a few years ago as a Good Republican something he has stated about other PIRA members even when up for murders..
So dithering Corbyn has now come out and said he supports a second referendum on brexit. Great news. So he will have no objections to a second Scottish Independence referendum. Happy Days.
Pointing out Marlons claim that we are ALREADY seeing workers rights stripped etc.. Which is completed twaddle... So I agree pal, those claims were as thick as mud.
I suspect he was the one who painted the words Barnsley Bitter on the old brewery stand roof and took them as his personal mantra for ever more. The best ignore I ever did, like knitting fog with a balaclava on... backwards. If you don't read the canary, everyone else is classed a right wing Tory. Forever doggedly consistent if nothing else.
If you can’t see workers rights have been stripped back then your either blind or a right wing Tory. I’ll start with one right out of the thousands that’s been stripped back . Paying only full Money to over twenty fives , fair enough it’s mostly the lower paid that usually comes into this category so it probably won’t bother you but I find it disgusting .
He’s a criminal nothing more otherwise the GFA is nothing. If the GFA is broken officially by any party signed up then imo we can get ready for a return on a much larger scale than the criminality we’re seeing now .
Not really. Barring a few nut jobs from splinter groups the major players linked to Republican and Ulster causes are more bothered about making money than Bombs. Do you honestly think that the Murphys and extended families are going to risk losing their multiple million pound business empire over The Cause. Or the Ulster equivalents. And nor it seems do you have any understanding of how large a scale the criminality is around the boarders.
I think your on cross threads here tbh . Your points are exactly the points I’ve been making that it’s criminal activity rather than republicanism for the big players and they’re preying on the local communities with their @we shoot informers ‘ mantra as if they are IRA and the communities in most parts are ignoring them. This will all change if borders are in place with the real republicans back in charge and will stage a series of actions which will enrage the hardliners in the Loyalist camp which in turn will host repercussions on the republican side and hey presto we’re slowly back to square one .
Just YAWN at the right wing Tory comment... So answer the question, so how is that paying only full money to over 25's because of Brexit ? That's my whole point, you clearly said that rights had been striped back because of brexit which is impossible because currently we are still in the EU. Now if you mean it's down to a Tory government, then that is a different issue entirely.
I was stating more about Ireland and the conflict there tbf but yes your right Brexit hadn’t happened yet but we all know why these Tory ******** are clamouring for it .
Maybe all the orange lot should be repatriated to where their historical ancestors came from, viz. Scotland.
Not really commenting on this thread, but I thought may be interesting viewing for anyone interested. Not watched the full series yet, but the first episodes I have watched were enlightening, as much info is in the public domain now re Paisley & McGuinness: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodes/m0008yrj/spotlight-on-the-troubles-a-secret-history
Point i am making is the PIRA and unionists have and continue to control organised crime in and around NI and the boarders. Regardless of what you call them the hierachy remains more or less the same. Gfa, brexit wont make a shred of difference to the big misters. The tantrums will come from the splinter groups and kids wanting a rep.
Point I’m making again is these people you mention are criminals , they may still use the terms of their former roles to boost their activities but they are nowhere near these roles as all the backup isn’t there . They have no support other than criminal status . If you think Brexit won’t make a shred of difference then I hope your right but the evidence so far is a lot of the official support and supplies will come into back into play if there are borders . They may tolerate these gangs to achieve their objective but make no mistake if the IRA come back into being these gangs that Have only criminal gain will fall by the wayside .
Just as a matter of interest...Colum Murphy leader of the SDLP said today. “This deal does however meet the minimum requirements to avoid a hard border and the introduction of customs or regulatory checks across this island. That is welcome and EU negotiators have obviously worked very hard to defend our interests. If the choice is between this deal or no deal, then the interests of people here must be defended. “I would urge the DUP to think very carefully about what happens next. Opposing the deal in the absolute terms they have suggested could mean a no-deal Brexit that would devastate businesses, people and communities across this island, particularly in the farming and agricultural sector. If they don’t like what’s on the table, then maybe they shouldn’t back Brexit at all.”
Utter nonsense but you go on fighting a class war if it makes you happy! If you bother to read the agreement , whilst it is not enshrined in law it means the UK must align itself to the EU when it comes to employment rights and many other areas regarding human rights. Many of the current workers rights in the UK exceed EU minimum requirements anyway some of which existed in the UK long before the EU adopted them. Also these zero hours contracts that you and others complain about and blame Tory Governments for exist throughout the EU. Strangely this phenomenon and all the other reductions in living standards you speak about have happened whilst we are in the EU. Finally for all those that said BJ had no intention of negotiating any sort of deal and it was all a sham as he wanted no deal should apologise. As for Keir Starmer and his "It is a worse deal that TM's" he fails to provide a legitimate, rational reason for that opinion and , of course, he is going to say that. Labour have absolutely no credibility as a legitimate opposition except to a small minority of extreme socialists like Momentum and are detached from reality and the majority of voters.
And the DUP have stated tonight that they’re better off with no Brexit. It’s scary times no doubt about that .
No , as I understand it Ian the DUP hsve said that they would be better off with no Brexit than the deal . The DUP dint want no deal anyway as Industry livestock farming and agriculture have expressed concern over this and they are a big part of the DUP votes.
