Patrick was sat in the away end today , lovely polite fella with a well dressed wife. My son had a photo with him and asked him y he not playing but he just shrugged his shoulders and gave no answer. But as soon as the second goal went in i dint see him there much longer. Poor lad has to be given ago now, we have no other bloody options.and by the way we were propper dog ***** today all over ther park
Be gone in january we will retain a future interest. Ivan toney would have been a far better signing.
Murray and stendel and the coaching team have watched him train every day maybe he just isnt ready or better than what we have.
The last part is correct. I hate seeing this happen, mind. Young lad, playing week in week out for a side in which he is gold enough to get into, then a bigger side come in and take them and let them got in the reserves. As I said a few hours before he signed, it was a pure panic signing. He was way down the list. The club faffed about left right and center over a couple of quid and by doing so, they've all but relegated the side before we had even really started.
True, I feel sorry for the lad. Increased money doesn’t make up for the no football for some young honest lads. Just listen to podcasts of ex-pros. I understand he was injured in Austria’s training session. But when back, he should be in the U23s keeping his fitness up and sharpness at the very least. Same with Thiam. Looks a bit threadbare in the U23s too.....
OHHH WE'VVVVEEE GOT SCHMIDT IN THE STANDS WE'VE GOT LESS POINTS THAN WE CAN COUNT ON OUR HANDS WE ONLY CARE ABOUT THE BALANCE BOOK ITS CLEAR THAT THE OWNERS DON'T GIVE A FOOK
The Croatian chap, dubbed the next mandzukic by Max Allegri at Juve. Admittedly, he is in the same boat as Schmidt in the fact he's an unknown quantity but you don't spend a year at Juventus if you havent got something about you.
Do you recall his name? I’m curious if he’s done anything since. That story reminded me of those couple of french lads that seemingly did nothing after rejecting us.
Yep, and from what I'm told his wage isn't anything worth shouting about for a pro footballer in league 1 never mind the championship. The lads probably been sold a dream of using us as a stepping stone to bigger things by both the club and his agent. Unfortunately we all knew what was going to happen to him, we've seem it too many times. Same goes for Green, however I think Green has alot of raw talent and will go on to be a brilliant footballer. I think footballers get a rough ride if I'm honest. They're only like me and you, they want the best for both themselves and their families. I don't like seeing careers go down the swanny due to bad decision making by clubs and agents chasing cash. Especially young lads who are quite impressionable.
That’s true. Most who turn us down don’t exactly go anywhere else of interest either. That probably speaks volumes about the type of player we’re going for.....
I agree. Especially in the Champ and lower league where, like you say, the financial side doesn’t compensate for the lack of opportunity and game time. Any news on Thiam at all?
What I don't understand is why not put Schmidt into the U23 squad for a few games. If we're not going to use him in the first XI, then surely it makes sense. Even the excuse of he's with the first team in case of an injury, would only boost him to bench level at teh moment as Simoes has jumped ahead of hi in the queue.
Sandro Kulenovic scored 2 in 13. Other lad we were after was Moussa Konescored 5 in 10. We did bid for Ivan Toney but was rejected out of hand. Think we offered £1.5million Scored 11 in 17 Could have got James Norwood on a free from Tranmere but obviously too old at 28. Scored 7 in 13
